Survivor - Fans vs. Favorites - Episode 12 discussion thread
OH MY GOD THAT WAS GREAT!!! What a tribal. Jeff said it best, this season they have perfected the blindside. Amanda played that perfectly. She took her lumps and then shocked them all. I was sad that they did nto vote off Nat, who is the bigger threat. The way they are fallign with medical leaves, who knows, Alexis might have goen home anyway.

I was sad to see James go. I don;t know why they can;t give them antibiotics on the beach and let them continue in the game. I will give Cirie lots of credit though, she has her head in teh game. She told Amanda what she needed to hear. I would not be surprised if she goes back to Amanda and PAv and they try to pick off the others now. I liked the first challange and its always nice to see the family members. I was hoping Cirie would get to chill again with her husband, I love that guy. Jellyfish Lake has got to be one of the coolest things in teh world. BEfor eI die, I have got to get there.

Now, back to the genius Amanda. She knew once the boys were gone, she was next to go. If one had immunity, that could come sooner. It was a smart move of her to volunteer to go to Exile Island. Erik was lucky he won the IC. Though he should have made a deal with Amanda. He needs friends now and he was in a good position to shake up the final four. If he could have convinced Amanda to trust him, he would have been in a new alliance. As it is he needs to win out ICs to get in. If he could have pushed for a new group and get rid of the other two fans, he would have been in a better spot. Oh well. I was surprised Amanda told Parvati about the Idol. I am sure she needed some help though.

I love that they went right to Tribal Council wihtout tellign if she had it. Amanda played it brilliantly. She was so smart. Telling them she did nto have it was a great move too. I love her game. I thought she was the best player last season too, btu she seems to burn jury members easily. Overall, I was sad to see James go down with out a fight, and I was happy to see Amanda stay. Tis is starting to get fun. I love teh end when they all start to turn on one another. Cirie may pull this off, if she plays smart.

1. I didn't understand the Alexis vote either
Natalie seemed to be the logical choice.

2. I think they were right that Alexis would be harder to beat in the finals
But I don;t think that should be a problem since she is not gonna win an IC with a bum leg and they could take her out next if needed.

3. She would be less likely to win a physical challenge than Natalie

4. Alexis had the knee injury. I think they were trying to get her medical help before she was pulled.

5. Could be
Though I doubt Amanda and Pav were acting out of kindness. They are both good players. I am sure they wanted to oust the player they thought would be tougher in the end. With five left, an IC win and a plan to get rid of a threat could get you into the finals. I wonder what Cirie will do now. I think Pav and Amanda need to tell her there is no hard feelings and they still want to go final three with her.

6. I think Amanda cuts Pav loose shortly.
I think Amanda will work to get rid of Pavarti. Then again, there was quite a reaction from Ozzie when someone said that she was the one who organized the coup to get rid of him. If Amanda noticed that it could work in her favor to keep Pav.

I'm beginning to see Amanda and Cirie as the final two.

7. Are we doing final three or final two?
It has to be final three. We have five furors already, Eliza, Ozzy, Jason, James and Alexis. Then there are finve left on the island, Amanda, Pav, Cirie, Natalie and Eric. Two go to the jury to make it seven, then the final three compete at the end and go before the jury. Its going to be fun to watch. I think it will eb Pav, Amanda and Cirie in the end. I'd like to see Cirie win this. She has been playing well since the first move to get out YaoMan.

8. Agree that it was a great episode
Now that James and Ozzy are out, I'm rooting for Amanda. Just that one play alone, making sure to get confirmation from everyone that they would be voting for her, and how she was able to get them to admit it without them getting suspicious. I also give props to Eric and Cirie for being forthright with her about it.

That was just a priceless tribal council. She was playing the part so perfectly, because the slightest tip of her hand could have changed everything.

Was surprised at how readily she told Parv about the idol, too! That, while it worked for her this time, didn't seem to be the best judgement.

I also was perplexed as to why they kept Natalie (ew!!) instead of Alexis - just didn't make strategic sense, but we'll see how it plays out.

9. I think Amanda and Pavarti are going to lose
but I am also pulling for Amanda. I think Cirie will turn on them and take Natalie and Erik to the end because she can beat them both in the finals, but we will see soon.

Twp episodes left. Its just this Thursday and then the finale.

10. I loved this episode
I thought it was one of the best ever. I watched the end a few times just to see all of the reactions which were priceless. Amanda is quite the actress-- she may have a future. I was sad to see James go down like that also but he is so rational that it's hard not to love him. I love that he knows that after this game he will still need to use his hands for work. This is turning out to be a very good season.

11. Did you see the preview for this week
The voiceover says that this week will have the most exciting tribal ever. Its tough to top last weeks. We will see. I bet Cirie flips and Pav or Amanda is out.

12. I didn't see that, but it is hard to think that it could get better than last week
I'm loving this season! Thanks for keeping these threads going. I look forward to them and even when I don't post, I'm always getting something out of your commentary.
