New season of Big Brother...

The contestants have been announced and there are two twists this year.

Some of the houseguests will be living with their biggest rivals and one houseguest will be America's personal plaything-we'll be able to make request for them to do things in order to earn money.

We have a father/daughter duo that supposedly have a strained relationship in the house. The daughter is also underage and BB is known for giving out alcohol late at night. There is a thread on Survivor Sucks about the two-the brother/son is posting and answering a few questions about them:

He chose to post at that board because Dick, his father, has posted there in the past and is known by a few of the posters. He's been messaged on his myspace site and the kid is who he says he is.

Oh, and for those here with Showtime 2 they will be airing three hours of BB live every night at 8pm Pacific. It will be only one camera shot-the one w/ the most activity-but Showtime is promising no editing whatsoever. If they are nude it will be shown, if the language is nasty it'll be kept in, if someone is saying hi to grandma(for those who know what that is referenced) or even the song singing (which has always been edited out in the past) is supposed to be left in.

But somehow I do find myself watching it once in a while. :shrug:

Maybe this year I'll have more self-control and forget it entirely.

2. The show sucks

but the live feed is wonderful. It truly is for the reality addict. They are the only ones who pay attention to the feeds and the feeds are where you see what really happens.

The show is overedited, clearly leaning toward one or one group of players. The feeds tell the truth.

5. Anyone else watching?

I am actually enjoying this season. There are some people I can't wait to have voted out: Kail, Jen (the jen-ius), and Jessica. Jessica's voice makes me run screaming from the room but at least they don't have her on TV much. Jen -- well, I just "love to hate" her. She's a riot.

As for the rest of the group, there are a few I don't give a hoot about and some I think are interesting and likable people.

I have very little TV in English to watch anymore so maybe that's why it seems so interesting to me.

I'm with you on Jessica's voice! Dick lost it last night. I used to think he was ok but now I just think he's a control freak. Jen's a piece of work!

7. I completely agree about Dick

I used to like him simply because he was an interesting character; older, not afraid to speak his mind, and definitely not boring. If he is going to be paranoid and controlling now, then he can go.

15. I have two questions:

Why does Big Brother stop the houseguests from singing?

And, two, which isn't really a question, but is an observation about America and Americans:

Eric is "America's player" right? So, it's in the best interest of "America" to give good strategic instructions to Eric. So, why does "America" keep setting up Eric? Is this symptomatic of the American pathology that's become so evident in BushCo's America? I think it's revealing.

I can't stand him. I liked him at first but he got on my last nerve.

As for the singing... I think it has to do with copyright infringement or whatever. CBS will get sued. That's what I read some place a few years back.

I can't watch it while it airs in the US as I am overseas so I have to download it off the internet. I won't be able to do that for a few days so can you tell me who all voted for Dustin to go?

Yeah, you need to put that in the titles of posts, for those who don't want to know what happens before they get a chance to see it.

America screwed itself again. HEY America, you need to realize that Eric is AMERICA's player, so what he does is representative of what this country is doing to itself. No surprise then, I suppose, that America chooses once again to screw itself. What, taking lessons from Congress?

But anyway, only two from the LNC voted to keep Dustin -- Eric and Jessica turned on him because America voted for Eric to get rid of Dustin (ok ok, Eric himself admitted that he was delighted at that plan). I think it was a very foolish move.

Amber and Jameka were loyal to Dustin, and totally blindsided by this move.

Danielle won HOH. Eric and Jessica seem like maybe they think they made a mistake? Dunno. They're sort of huddling in a corner trying to avoid making eye contact with anyone (that's not literally true, just an impression)

I don't think I'd trust DickandDanielle, not sure Eric made a wise move. But hey, America voted. Again.

speaking of Eric and Jessica, there was one conversation between them that was interesting. He was talking about the potential deal with Dick and Daniele and he made a comment about honor among thieves and then he added, not that we're thieves. And Jessica said, we will be if we do this!

I was sad to see Dustin go......
