Survivor Cook Islands - Episode 8 Discussion Thread
OMG!! Jonathon is an IDIOT!!! I can;t beleive he lept to the other tribe. He is DEAD for sure. Adam made a good call keeping JOnathon, since he, candace and pav can control him. Brad was a wold card. Jonathon went from a position of power to a position of weakness. He is dead once they merge.

Ozzi blows me away. He is fraking amazing in the water. Yul is a genius and figured out the drop of the cannon balls fast. Great come from behind win there.

1. Ozzie & Yul are both so great it's a shame they both can't win.
It looks at this point that Yul is better positioned politically, plus he has the idol, but it will be a sad day when Ozzie goes. He really has been phenomenal in challenges, and he looks like a standup guy.

I think I would have preferred to see Jonathan go last night, just because it was painful to see him do such a bonehead maneuver, but maybe next week he'll do something so totally worse it'll be fun to watch in a car wreck kind of way. They certainly have him in their back pocket for the next council they want to use him for. But they should do it soon, now that there's a jury. I think he knows he totally screwed up, but if they exploit him for too long, it could backfire on whoever faces the jury.

2. Jonathan was screwed either way...
who he thought was his strongest ally in this game, Candice, jumped like that was a big surprise. He had nobody left on his old tribe to trust fully. He feels that his initial tribe will band together and keep him around. Once this thing goes to the merge I see him strong on the mildly physical challenges with puzzle solving. Candice is starting her back stabbing but she is shooting herself in the foot if she starts getting too close to Adam. I think everybody remembers Romber and how strong they were together. At the first sign just vote her off.

Yul finally used the strength he has. In past challenges, he has been a non-issue physically.

I think Brad shot himself in the foot when he made the "It's every man for himself" comment. I predict a merge next week so this whole game will change. I was surprised Sundra didn't go to be on Rebeccas tribe, they seemed really tight in their tribe.

This season is finally getting really good.

GO JOHNATHAN!!!

3. Jonathon had to move over
for the reasons above. He was dead if he stayed for sure.

I think the other 3 whities would be crazy to get rid of him. If they all 4 stick together and play it smart, they can get to the final four (with Yul's idol being the only roadblock to that happening).

I was so damn happy that Ozzy, Yul and crew pulled it togther like that. I was cheering right with Ozzy when he gave them the proverbial "fuck off" after they won the first challenge.

4. I am pulling for the Foursome now.
I hope Yul, Ozzy, Becky and Sundra make it all the way.

5. Other than my pick of Jonathan in the
other Survivor Prize thread, I would want one of them to win. I think Ozzy has the best chance to win out physically on the challenges./ I'm not sure how smart he is when it comes down to memory and problem solving challenges, we'll see. Yul seems to nice to make it all the way. As long as it isn't Candice or Adam I'm happy.

6. The only way Ozzy wins
is if he makes it to the merge. Then he can use his mental and physical prowess to win immunity. That being said, red tribe needs to win out until the merge. It would be stupid of Yul not to get rid of Ozzy if they have to vote someone out.

I think Candice and Adam are goint to be too obvious about their love of the snuggle puddle to make it. People will realize that they might have another Romber on their hands (Candam? Adice?) and vote one or both out. Now I don't think either Candice nor Adam are the equivalent of Rob or Amber, but once people get the hint, they are gone. Gotta break up the whities or they are going to win.

10. When will they merge
If the 4some wins one more immunity, that might be it. Rumor is that there will be a double eviction soon. That might be what the bottle message is all about. They need to do a double to stay on track for 39 days, so it will be soon. If Ozzy and company win this immunity and two more are evicted, the merge would not be as bad for Ozzy, Yul Becky and Sundra.

8. me too
I've liked those four for a while but Yul and Becky were in an alliance with Candace and Jonathan before. After Candace and Jonathan left, those four formed the perfect team for me!

7. My prediction for next week.
They are going to let red tribe kidnap one person from blue tribe for ever (which would make the sides 5-6). If that happens I think red tribe will decline.

We will not have the merge until there are less than 10.

9. If Yul were evil, here's what he'd do
He'd orchestrate it so they throw the next immunity challange so they could vote off Ozzy pre-merge.

But, he's not evil :)

11. I thin Yul needs Ozzy
Yul needs votes after the merge. He is both a smart and physicla player, this a target post merge. If he is smart, he will keep his foursome together and go into a merge strong. Even if they are down, he might be able to orchestrate Jonathons eviction. I say Ozzy may win this thing.

12. I agree
he won't throw it to get rid of Ozzy. But if forced to vote someone off on Thursday. Ozzy is packing.
