Guess who plays Spock's mom in the new Trek?

Winona Ryder will play Amanda Grayson, human wife of Vulcanian ambassador Sarek!!

The role was previously held by the almost-as-hot gentile Jane Wyatt on TV and in the movies.

Variety identifies Spock's mom as a Vulcan, which is almost certainly a colossal factual fuckup.

Read all of Variety’s story on the matter.

1. Yup. Wynona probably stole the facts and replaced it with that fiction...
:hide:

Spock's mother, in "Journey to Babel", and of course "Star Trek IV", was quite human.

Now either Variety screwed up (and having read their reviews from time to time in the past, they aren't very bright...), or the Trek producers screwed up (equally possible, I don't think they're working on all impulse engines either...)

2. It appears that the hottest actors in Hollywood are secret trekkers.
Who knew?
