Tucker In Talks For Compass
I just thought I'd post this bit of news here because the "His Dark Materials" came up recently in a thread I started complaining about Lewis' Lion, Witch, Wardrobe claptrap. It seemed like there were several fans here of Pullman (particularly as an alternative to Lewis) so I thought I'd pass this along:

Go to: http://www.scifi.com/sfw/current/news.html and scroll down to find the title I used for this tread.

BTW: Brought my son to the book store soon after you guys clued me in on Pullman and showed him the Dark Materials books. They didn't grab him at the time (but I'm hopeful he'll come back to them) but funny thing is he picked up a Terry Pratchett book for kids "Trucks" that is quiet excellent. And I think a very proper thing for a young atheist to be reading. ;)

My son is painstakingly reading through Harry P (Half-Blood Prince)

He is determined so I bought my own version so that we can talk about the chapters as he finishes them.

Thanks for the link, he might be very interested in Pullman. As for the the Pratchett book, is that "Truckers" (Bromeliad trilogy)? If so, I heard that is a great series. Another one for us to check out. :)
