Fill in the blank please
This is a classic discussion had between Christians and
Atheists on the interweb:

Christian: Everyone should wear a tri-cornered hat and gumboots

Atheist: What on earth for?

Christian: It says so in the bible.

Atheist: Bible says a lot of things mac.

Christian: Oh yeah - like what?

Atheist: <your comeback goes here>

What bible quote do you like to use here? :D

1. Hearing God in a burning bush makes you special

Seven days to create the universe?

If someone hits you on one cheek, you should offer your other cheek.

4. Shun menstrual women. They're unclean.
That's a good 'un from our old friend Leviticus - I'll stop quoting it when they do.

5. Leviticus is full of possibilities
My favorite is usually mixing cotton and other weaves - big holy no-no.

6. "Holy no-no" LOL!
I like that! So much less judgemental than "sin." Let's face it, the Wrathful God thing just doesn't do well in focus groups these days! :D

7. Well, for starters, your cotton-poly blend shirt is an abomination.
(Lev. 19:19)

Also, you know how you like your steak extremely rare? Yeah, God doesn't like that either.

(Lev. 19:26)

Oh, and that shave and haircut you pride yourself on? That's also bad.

(Lev. 19:27)

And that kick-ass Celtic cross tattoo you've been wanting to get? Nothin' doin'.

(Lev. 19:28)

Remember that affair you had with the housewife next door? God says you have to be executed because of that.

(Lev. 20:10)

Ever had sex with your wife during her menstrual cycle? Well, you're gonna be banished for that.

(Lev. 20:18)

Yeah. See? The Bible says a lot of things. And the above is just out of two chapters in one book.

8. Good post!
Thanks. I have no ideas 'cause I haven't read the buy-bull since I was a child.

May I share your idea elsewhere?

9. Cindy, here's a link for your Favorites...
http://www.skepticsannotatedbible.com/

Also includes the Koran and the Book Of Mormon.

The home page is organized by category: cruelty, abuse of women, sex, anti-scientific nonsense, etc. etc.

Very useful for debating Twue Bewievers...especially since the site uses the King James Version.

14. Thanks for the link
I had it bookmarked years ago. But, now, I just don't give a shit. I'm done debating theists. If they want to believe, that's fine by me - just so long as they don't force their beliefs on me. The Buy-Bull is crap - we all know it. And, IMO, atheists spend way too much time talking about religion.

Church/State Separation is where our focus should be.

11. Bush* does not advocate protecting the environment
For future generations, because he envisions a "rapture," so no future generations will be here. Scares me to death. I think he's psychotic. And I heard this from Bobby Kennedy, Jr., who, as you know, is an environmental lawyer. And Bush*'s Secretary of the Interior shares this crazy view. I have no bible quotes, though I used to do pretty well with people who stopped me on the street. But now? I just want to undermine the psychotic-in-chief, who believes God told him to attack Iraq and drill for oil in the Arctic National Wildlife Reserve. Sorry, but I just think this man is nuts.

Convenient, wasn't it?

And I'm expected to believe this was a coincidence?
