2. I personally have a Pope.
In the sense that I have a man I consider my spiritual leader.

His name is Richard Dawkins.

14. Dawkins is pretty good...
Same goes for Daniel Dennett. If I had to consider someone my spiritual leader, though, it would be Kurt.

8. Ha! LOL
Don't need no pope man telling me what to do, all them MEN that have a main line to some mysterious almighty GOD in heaven up there, they've been keeping women down for thousands of years with this shit.

yeah,

its hierarchical patriarchy, organized religion, pope and all

I don't need no MAN telling me to be kind and good so I can get to heaven. I live my life every day being kind, doing good work, trying to make things better for someone, taking care of my family.

The right and good path. Living according to moral values and ethical standards - NOT because somebody tells us to, or to get into heaven(selfish) but simply because we as humans are capable of it, because we should.

when I was 14. Haven't looked back since.

Actually, I annointed myself quite a bit of prestigious titles.

Its fun... really.

Was 75 degrees and sunny out today, and where am I?
Okay, I took some pictures and putzed around for about an hour but then this damn thing kept calling my name. It's a horrible addiction, especially since I have no tv.

23. My condolences.
Sorry to hear about your red state location.

I am very happy that I live in the Northeast.

The cops don't beat us up and arrest us when we protest at least.

They gave us a police escort thru downtown Boston, and let us block the recruiting office until they closed it down for the day. One small victory, but it was cool.

24. Been to Boston.
A couple of times. Loved what I saw. Do you have pictures of your protest? I'd love to see them.
I miss New England. I never realized how different it was. Intolerance is the rule, not the exception here. It's almost expected.
Some caveman will make a racial slur and then look at you like * does, "heh heh heh", like you're supposed to play along. Revolting it is.

Well, thanks for listening.

11. I beg to differ
In fact I heard this today on the Howard STern show:

One of the people on the show Artie Lang was in Dallas signing his DVD for fans when word spread through the line that the Pope had died and he said that you couldn't find a group of people who were less affected by the news than that crowd.

Well he hasn't seen this group of people here in A&A on DU! ;)
