What matters that god doth in the sky, watching over us like the shepard to his sheep? Does this give our lives meaning to know there is an omnipotent being who loves us, but will punish us with eternal damnation for disobeying his command? If god does exist, would he not have meaning too? Would it matter if god did not exist, and therefore we did not exist? If he does exist, and he created us, wouldn't this act be meaningless? Why should we contiune down this beaten path which has brought us suffering, war, and loneliness? Is it not time to transcend this idea of an ominpotent being and give our own lives meaning? Yes! It is time for us to accept what we really are, meaningless specks of dust in the pail that is our universe. We are beings of overcoming, and we must learn to overcome. We must overcome our fears, our jealousies, our materialistic wants to reach that higher objective which gives meaning to our lives. Our virtues, our courage, our strength, these are what matters.
