this may be kinda long, but I post on my community message board and there is a particular poster who is an EXTREME fundie. This guy is a major JERK and when he found out months ago that I was an atheist, he has attacked me in every way possible, including posting a 'bounty' for my head in the means of asking anyone who knew my identity to please call him or e-mail him my name and address. He was actually going to pay them money. The board administrator is a nice guy who tries too hard to please everyone, but can't control his board and has let this guy pressure him to now post our IP with any post that we make. This jerk has told everyone on the board personal info. about himself and his family, has given his home phone #, email address and he is lawsuit happy, suing several local school corporations for 'free' use of their radio stations to promote his religious agenda. He now wants to file a protective order against me, because he thinks that I'm stalking him!!! The guy has to be bi-polar, besides being nuts. 1. A cautionary statement

Obsessive compulsive disorders can become very wrapped up in religious beliefs. This person can be dangerous. The extremes to which he going indicitive of some sort of mental disorder as you noted. I would advise presenting evidence of his unbalanced behaviour to the admins and working to get him removed from the board.

2. I've got to second Az here

These people can be quite dangerous both to themselves and others, especially if he's as far gone as you describe. It's best to just leave him alone. If the board admin has the guy's personal info maybe he might want to call a local mental health agency and see if there is some way they can ethically get this guy some help. Maybe not. Those situations are always tricky (and sad).

4. Thirding!

Anyone trying to take something this far IRL, from an internet board, has got more than a few loose screws rattling around. I think he's already crossed the line from "annoying" to "dangerous."

I had an experience once with an insane female Fundie stalker, before the Internet made it even easier to stalk. It was not pleasant.

3. There is only one...

Mod on this board and he has tried to convince the administrator to ban this guy, but the admin. says he has a plan...I hope it works. Meanwhile, both have said they will tell him to not repond to my posts and I likewise will not respond to him. Thanks for your advice.

5. Don't worry, Marty won't be around long...

Last time I read about him in the paper, he claimed he was "dieing" from Diabetes (Putting a lot of faith in the LAWD to keep your sugar down, Marty ol' boy?)and didn't have much time to get his "message" out. Wonder if WHJE ever sued him to recover court costs?

what a jerk-wad. He "maintains" a few radio staions arounfd here, one of which has had 1/2 it's tower lights out for over a year.
And he's in constant zoning hot water running that LP FM station of his from a residential area of Greenfield, too.

He's fucking loony toons. Him and that "Radical Charismatic Nun" who's p-nut whistle TV station he used to keep going.

6. WOW...

It's good to know that someone else out there knows of him, besides our little hometown message board. My son-in-law's brother was one of the kids running the Ben Davis radio station when 'Marty serving Jeebus' was trying to sue for airtime. This guy has also sued channel 13 for access to their records of information. You are right about him claiming to not have long to live too. He said over a year ago that if he didn't get a liver or kidney transplant he would only have months to live and NOW he and wifey are having TRIPLETS!!! It burns my ass that people like that are living off our dime! I've called him out on soooo many lies over time and that's one reason he wants to get to me, but the biggest reason is that I'm a proclaimed atheist.

8. Jesum Crow!

I didn't click through to the message board the first time I read this so I didn't catch the "Henry County" part.

My in-laws are from New Castle and, surprise surprise, they're fundies too. Fortunately they are the type of fundies that hate GW because they think his religion is nothing but a front but FIL is also a diabetic who spends more time praying than actually trying to control his sugar.

Let's see, if I take insulin and pray, my sugar levels are good. If just take insulin, my levels are good. If I just pray, it goes through the roof. Nothing like that "unseen hand" to help you with a glucose meter.

10. I can't believe it...

but the administrator evidently had enough of him and he's history...for now, at least. All evidence of his postings are gone...thank his gawd!!! In his last postings he was threating the admin. and I think that was the last straw...the admin. said he was feeling harrassed. Alls well that ends well...I think...
