1. You usually need nearly twice the required #

of signatures to make sure you end up with
enough validated signatures. Please pass this
on to the organizers. You'll probably be safe
with 20,000.

2. We're going for 16,000, but will take whatever we can get`
Our organizers are pretty experienced and feel that will be enough.

5. Many things can make a sig. invalid

Some people are embarrassed to admit that they aren't
registered or aren't democrats, an address may not be
legible or isn't the registered address...One of our (MA)
volunteers handed in 70 to get validated and 25 were
invalid. They may be pickier here, but you want to make
you have enough.

I have my fingers crossed for you!! It's almost over. Keep
it going!!

6. Party affiliation doesn't matter here in Michigan
You just have to be registered to vote. We don't have partisan registration. That would probably make it more difficult, as I'm sure some people wouldn't remember what they registered as.

Illegibility is a big problem. Handwriting is sometimes very difficult to read.

I'm so nervous! I'm just so afraid he's not going to run.

7. I know the feeling

we're all at the edges of our seats right now.
We just have to stay focused on our tasks.
You guys are doing an amazing job!

8. Thanks, catgirl
If he doesn't jump in, it won't be because nobody did anything to try to convince him to run.

4. Thanks, Mabus
I think we're up to $2,500 raised and Bob thinks we're further ahead in getting signatures than he thought we'd be by now. He has 1,000 in hand alread and there are a lot that haven't been turned in yet. I turned in 29 on Friday, but have another 72 on uncompleted petitions.
