Why is Harold Ford Jr. Speaking At The Gore Family Dinner?

Isn't he a DLC leader? A war supporter? The man who said he loved his president? Don't get me wrong, I love Mr. Gore and I wholeheartedly support his work on the cliamte crisis, but I'm sorry, I don't understand nor like this at all.

2. Because Gore is putting the environment over politics

and because it helps unite the Davidson County Democratic Party. After all, the Annual Gore Family Dinner is for the Davidson County and Tennessee Democrats (and their friends). It is the Gore Family's way of giving back to the Democrats that have been their family and friends not to appease outsiders who have their own agendas.

More importantly, Ford is a big proponent of alternative fuels. It was one of his big campaign issues. In fact, Harold Ford drove a biodiesel (from soybeans) truck when he campaigned.

In the ad, Ford comes out swinging against "big oil," and suggests that Tennessee soybeans - used to make biodiesel - are our "ticket to energy freedom."

Ford says that, "For too long, all the tax breaks have gone to big oil."

The global climate crisis is the most important issue that we face. Gore has the courage and foresight to put the future of the planet ahead of other differences he might have with them.

5. Then maybe people should allow him to do this his way

And as I stated in the OP, I support his work on the climate crisis wholeheartedly, I just don't happen to like Harold Ford's stances on what I mentioned. Perhaps if others would then practice what they preach here about putting this crisis first we could actually see some progress on this now.
