Veterans grave markers being stolen from cemeteries for scrap value..

Any scrap yard that accepts veterans grave markers should be put out of business. they are stealing the flat markers that lay in the ground, not sure if they are brass or bronze, but WTF?

No source on this, just conversation with veteran buddies.

Not just for scrap, but for "collectors" - that's ghoulish on a grand scale.

5. many times the stolen markers are melted down

and the dealer can't determine the origin of the scrap metal.

However, I do believe that there awaits a special place for those who steal from a gravesite.
