This email is to notify you that on Saturday September 8th, the South
Florida Chapter proudly voted to name ourselves the Alexander S. Arredondo
Chapter. In the email and telephone survey and at the official vote, members
were unanimously in favor except for one member not voting.

Alexander's parents, Carlos and Melida Arredondo, have been notified and
have accepted to allow us this honor. As you are acutely aware, Carlos and
Melida are Gold Star Parents who have worked tirelessly and dedicated their
lives to help Veterans For Peace in the anti-war cause and with
counter-recruiting and Chapter 32 is honored to have the approval of these
South Florida parents.

A ceremonial event for the naming of the chapter is being planned for the
future, when Carlos and Melida can return to South Florida.
