4.  My middle son will be heading for MCRD San Diego....
next March. Will likely end up in Aviation Electronics after basics.

Not what I expected from a kid that was somewhat of a band nerd in High School.

He is 22 now and this is what he wants so who am I to complain.

6. An old buddy from 2nd Marines always used to say, " You can always tell a Marine...
but you can't tell him much."
Sadly, he's no longer here to celebrate, so you will have to do it for him.

11. I was Army, myself, but I'm happy to salute the Marines on their birthday
A couple of years I even celebrated their birthday with them at the Iwo. And what a great ceremony they put on!

'Course, the rest of the year I rag their ass mercilessly. :evilgrin:
