Man indicted in Buckley bomb threat

DENVER — A Boulder man has been indicted on a federal charge of phoning a bomb threat to Buckley Air Force Base in suburban Denver.

David Charles Barton, 27, was indicted Wednesday and arrested Friday.

Barton faces a sentence of up to 10 years in prison and a fine of to a $250,000 if convicted.

No phone listing could be found for him, and it wasn’t immediately clear if he had an attorney.

Prosecutors say the bomb threat was phoned to Buckley on Jan. 21.
