MUSTANG, Okla. — A groundbreaking ceremony has been set in Mustang for the second of seven new Armed Forces Reserve Centers.

A groundbreaking for the new 190,000-square-foot facility will be held Friday in Mustang. When completed in 2010, the new center will house approximately 1,200 soldiers from the Oklahoma Army National Guard and the U.S. Army Reserve.

It will be located at 420 S. Cedar Springs Lane, just east of Sara Road off of State Highway 152.

Work already has begun on a similar facility in Norman.

The Norman and Mustang facilities are being built for a combined cost of $81.5 million.

uhc comment: At one time $81,500,000 used to be a lot of money; now it's just one hour of the cost of the occupations.
