PITTSBURGH — A 41-year-old man accused of critically wounding his girlfriend and bludgeoning her teenage children to death is in a Pittsburgh jail after being arraigned on murder charges.

Keith Scott was released from a Pittsburgh hospital on Thursday, where he was recovering from kitchen knife wounds he inflicted on himself while being arrested Wednesday.

Scott faces two counts of homicide and other related charges. He is accused of killing 18-year-old Ieisha Drake and 14-year-old Naim Drake. Police said Scott also stabbed the children’s mother, 38-year-old Nikiesha Warren, who remains in the hospital.

Scott’s attorney James Ecker said his client is a decorated Marine combat veteran. Scott’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 24.
