CID seeking special agents

If investigating felony-level crimes of Army interest or working in protective-service operations sound like appealing missions, the Criminal Investigation Command wants to talk to you.

The branch of the Army commonly known as CID is seeking qualified soldiers to fill the ranks of its special agents, the most highly trained soldiers in the unit.

CID special agents investigate crimes and provide high level security, and they work side by side with other federal, state and local law enforcement agencies to solve serious crimes and help in rooting out terrorist activities.

Special agents make up several hundred of the CID’s 2,000 support and law enforcement personnel and many go on to become warrant officers.

Soldiers who become special agents get advanced training in specialized investigative techniques at the Military Police School at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., and selected soldiers may train at the FBI National Academy, Metropolitan Police Academy at Scotland Yard, the Defense Department Polygraph Institute and the Canadian Police College.
