If you are stuck with a duty that seems to be a waste of time, the Air Force might want to hear from you.
The Air Force is looking at which “additional duties” airmen can be freed of and wants airmen to suggest duties they believe can be dropped or cut back.
Additional duties are jobs required by an Air Force Instruction or policy directive, such as working as the unit safety representative.
“We need airmen to share their views on the value and impact of the additional duties they perform,” said Charlie DiPietro, who is leading the study for the Air Force Manpower Agency.
To make it easy to hear from airmen, the agency created a Web page called “Air Force Additional Duties Review — Saving Airmen’s Time” that can be reached after signing onto the Air Force Portal and going the to the Air Force Knowledge Now Web site.
