Site for after action battle reports?
I have secured a copy of my grandfathers WWI journal, so now I have info on dates and unit info. Not being well versed in such things, I have his Division, battalion and company info. I was wondering if their was an online source to track his wartime experience thru after action battle reports, if there is such a creature.....

2. Google is a minefield
if you'll pardon the allegory. The rainbow division has a long storied history. I was hoping for a gov't site where you could get dispatches documented down to date and company. i'll keep working it

fishing has been s-lo-w too hot and not enough water

I thought of you and your ol' friend Mose this summer. Went camping and lit alot of kerosene lanterns. Every time I hear the "whoomp" I think of you and him sitting on that oyster bar....

aint it time for you to hit the lounge with some more stories? :hi:

3. Research
In Wash. DC for military info.

I aided a writer in researching for his book (The Bravest Men) a history of mine sweeping boats in the US Navy.

He spent a week or so in DC accessing actual records. It was quite expensive as he had to pay for copies. He got a lot of obscure information though.

Perhaps your congress person could open a door for you there.

Ah yes Mose and Louis and Thomas.

I have been writing elsewhere. Go to thenecessarylanguage.com for a few stories. thenecessarylanguage.com can be accessed from my journal.

I have been laid up for last three months. Sigh. Long road to recovery. If ever.

Good luck.

Ed
