Thousands of ribbons line procession route for Staff Sgt. Matt Maupin
CINCINNATI (AP) - Volunteers are hanging thousands of yellow ribbons along a 10-mile route from a Cincinnati airport to the suburban site where a daylong visitation for an Ohio soldier killed in Iraq will begin Saturday.


The body of 20-year-old Staff Sgt. Matt Maupin is expected to arrive from Dover Air Force Base Saturday morning. An honor guard will accompany it to the Union Township Civic Center in Clermont County.


A memorial service is scheduled for Sunday afternoon at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati.

2. have been thinking about this all day
I'm happy he's being honored, especially given the horrid circumstances of his death. But I sure wish all our dead were given the same MSM coverage, honor by the community, etc. :(
