CANNON AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. — A jury is scheduled to be seated Wednesday in the trial of a former Cannon Air Force Base airman accused in the death of his wife.

Edward Novak II is charged in the Oct. 28, 2004, murder of his 20-year-old wife, Kimberly Novak, who was found dead in their home at Cannon.

Air Force Chief Trial Judge Dawn Eflein ruled Tuesday that photos depicting a re-enactment of the crime scene can be used as evidence in the trial.

Edward Novak faces life in prison if convicted.

Novak, a former member of the 27th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, already is serving a 15-month prison sentence on a charge of child abuse.
