Jonathan Rieder, "The Word of the Lord is Upon Me" (BookTV)
Jonathan Rieder talked about his book, The Word of the Lord is Upon Me. The book looks at Martin Luther King, Jr. through his lesser known speeches and private conversations with colleagues. In his talk Mr. Rieder recounted stories from the book and responded to questions from the audience. Jonathan Rieder is a professor of sociology at Columbia University. He is the author of Canarsie: The Jews and Italians of Brooklyn Against Liberalism.
