Okay, this is amazing (2009 Year End Review)
From weeseeyou.com (Thanks, Angee!)

"W.E.E. Peeps Year End Review: 2009 Year of the Crazies"

This whole thing is hilarious (or terrifying as in item #11) but you guys absolutely HAVE to see item #4 - Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” becomes a viral hit.

The fact that dang near half the choreography in that video appears to have been lifted from a performer named Gwen Verdon is amazing. And Gwen's video version looks MAD old. And Ms. Gwen is WORKING it!

My other favorite bit was item #5 - The train wreck that was the BET Awards, hosted by Jamie Foxx. Oh my God, this part had me literally in tears:

The awards show opening with the Jackson 5 tribute by New Edition. My WTF? issue is mainly with Ralph and Bobby. What were they thinking???? Ralph sounded terrible and Bobby looked like a fat slob. And why, please tell me why he was flicking his tongue and gyrating his hips to ABC-123? Why? He needed Jesus and Nutrisystem.

Ow!! My sides!!  This tickled me so much, I just had to share.

5. lol i just sat here for a good two minutes
tryna think of a more horribler song from '09 than halle berry-

i can't think of any

i'm sure it's out there tho

i bet dude just "wrote" it so he could meet halle berry, and i bet it worked too :/

i need to make a song about oprah

then we'll meet and she'll inevitably fall in love and i can be her trophy husband

i'd even sign a prenup

at a bargain rate too; i'd take half of what tigers wife got, i'm not greedy

a divorced-from-oprah-man could live very comfortably on 150 million (plus alimony)

she could even keep stedman (and gail) on the side for all i care, idgaf

i'll be too busy rolling around bucknecky in a tub fulla thousand dollar bills to be worried about all that...

this reply kinda got away from me :)

...ok i'll be in the studio laying down some vocals if u need me lol

7. See, it's times like this that I don't even mind being on the other side of the world
Never even heard that atrocious Halle Berry song before. Halle looked embarrassed as hell to even be associated with such foolishness. Maybe that's why her dancing was so jacked up???

As for the rest of your post, I can't decide what's more disturbing -- being in a tri-amorous relationship with Oprah and Stedman or rolling around naked in tub full of nasty dollar bills.

9. I got an email about this a few weeks ago and there is a you tube
Edited on Tue Dec-29-09 10:20 PM by firedupdem
video of Beyonce' on 106th and Park when she unveils the video for first time, and she does say that she got the moves from an old tape of Bob Foss's (spelling?) wife...I'll see if I can find the you tube.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-SlfHHd3qI&feature=related

found this one...not the same one I remember seeing. She should have just said she copied them completely.

Somebody has been fooling with Ms. Verdun's moves for a while.

Craziness.

10. Thanks, girl!
I was thinking that when no one else was blown away by that video that it just meant that this was old news and that I was behind the times with this (like everything else). Girl, being in Australia means I miss EVERYTHING.

Thanks for the heads up! Haven't seen BET in years so this is all news to me.

Remember when Paula Abdul had that video back in the day that was also inspired by Mr. Fosse?? I think it wasn't a big deal because she let everyone know up front that he was the inspiration.

11. Hey, I'm in NE and miss everything!
If it wasn't for sirius radio, I wouldn't have been able to function back in the D for thanksgiving! LOL

When I read it, I remembered reading something in an email about it. I would have never known. I remember Paula playing tribute to folks but B probably never mentioned it again after that one interview. :) These young kids are all over you tube, so they probably picked up the 'copy' right away.
