I don't read racist blogs for a reason....
Racist ignorance really gets me heated. I have to remind myself that punks hide behind keyboards and I really should just laugh at their dumb asses.

Why is Obama afraid to listen to his base?
As I predicted; Obama has chosen a "placate the right, middle of the road centrist strategy."

Finally someone has to ask the question; Is Obama afraid to rock the boat because the "House Negro" doesn't want to disturb the masters residence?

Being a black man; he knows he has to keep the hair short; so to speak; and don't even think of legalizing marijuana. For him its totally off the table.

Does Obama believe the first black president has to be low key and cautious? Is that why he keeps dissing the base?

6. DU has never been a comfortable place to discuss issues of race.
That type of garbage has been here for as long as I have. What's really depressing is watching people I've communicated with for YEARS come out of their bags. I don't know how FrenchieCat does it. I don't think its at all a stretch to say DU is a hostile environment for poc.

9. "I don't think its at all a stretch to say DU is a hostile environment for poc."
Nope. I don't think anyone here would consider that statement a stretch at all. A damn shame, a horrible truth, but not a stretch.

Every single time black people on this site have the nerve to try to express ourselves on an issue, it's either sidetracked by other disgruntled people trying to interject their (often irrelevant) stuff in or it's completely dismissed altogether. White liberals talk about primarying Obama after 11 months in office or aligning with teabaggers and when Dems of color say "excuse me? Have you lost your minds?" then somehow, WE become the racists or "race baiters."

Apparently, our opinions and thoughts are only to be shared when they are in alignment with the majority. We must never DARE to see things differently through the spectrum of our own life experiences as members of a distrusted and historically oppressed and disrespected minority group in this country.

I tell you, it's testimony to our intestinal fortitude that every black person in America is able to live past the age of 25 or isn't a homicidal maniac.

7. It's been there for awhile
but it seemed to be limited to the YAPOWPT (yet another poor oppressed white people thread) posts, or any race-issue thread, or any "black people pissed me off" thread, but it's never been this bad. Only since the inauguration. :-(

2. But did you see the one about Michele and the Lincoln bed
room?? Girl, I just shook my head. It's not worth responding to half the stuff in those forums cause I can't say what really needs to be said.

4. I said this in that thread and I'll repeat:
Apparently being on the left, or Progressive or Liberal has given people the mistaken notion that they are defacto non-racists and therefore they are cool to use terms like Oreo, Minstrel, Uncle Tom, House Negro etc.

It totally reminds me of the one friend who thinks that because they're friends with *you* they are cool to use ethnic slurs as a joke.
