Civil Rights activist Dorothy Height dies at age 98.
We've lost another one. She will always be remembered not only for her colorful crowns but for her dedication. Rest in peace, Mrs. Height.

1. oh no! Wasn't there some sort of drama with Dorothy Height a few years ago??
It seems that I remember some sort of semi-scandal involving her and her organization. I am so sorry to hear of her passing.

Look at this from the article. Ain't this some isht??!

"Height was born in Richmond, Va., and the family moved to the Pittsburgh area when she was four. She earned bachelor's and master's degrees from New York University and did postgraduate work at Columbia University and the New York School of Social Work. (She had been turned away by Barnard College because it already had its quota of two black women.)"
