I have a tremendous amount of respect for Edwards supporters that are not jumping ship.
I do not, for the life of me, understand the indecisive minds, and the herky jerky flip flopping between candidates.

In my mind, there are major differences between the candidate, major ones.

With that in mind, I am devoting the rest of the week to writing letters to the editor in SC and Nevada.

The marvels of the internet makes it easier than ever.......I need to do something productive....can't let rocky do all the heavy lifting...

4. Take that dunce hat off right now! And may I offer you my gratitude for the inspiration
you provide.

It is tough, tough business to see the other 2 candidates have their winning days......we might have our worry and even a bit of sadness but damn it to hell we are NOT fair weather fans.

For that I am thankful....to be among strong people who have strong convictions and values. I love it.

2. I'm sticking with Edwards all the way.
He's so obviously the best choice for President. He is a man of integrity, he's smart, dynamic, disciplined, principled, has a great wife and family. What's not to like?

Everything he has he's done on his own, no trust funds to pay the way for John. I have so much respect for him.

And Elizabeth will make one of the finest First Ladies we've ever had. I'm talking Jackie Kennedy country, and they just don't come any finer than that.

I really think Edwards will be the nominee, he just has to find a better way to get his message out there. We need to all put our heads together and come up with something.

16. I disagree heartily!
:hi:

Jackie Kennedy couldn't hold a candle to Elizabeth Edwards!

Jackie was ...well, a First Lady for that time. BUT.... she was so upper crust, and so far above us that most of us really couldn't relate.

Elizabeth is soooo one of us! She knows how to listen, she knows how to share her heart. I think she's much more an Eleanor Roosevelt, if we want to pair up First Ladies.

7. Remember- Edwards poll numbers are going up as Hill's go down
and obama's stay a bit the same.

When Edwards is able to get his message out, people respond. We have to help him get that message out!

20. Well I'm not leaving John, but I just left
the other John, Kerry that is. I've been receiving his emails and I just un-subscribed. I had hoped that he would stay out of the fray, but he has jumped in, and it pisses me off. He could have waited, but he chose to dismiss Edwards, and that I won't forgive him for. He more or less sanctioned a 2 person dem race. Pretty damn crass of him.

21. Yep. As soon as I recieve another one of his emails (today, I suspect) I will un-subscribe.
If he had endorsed Edwards, the media would have said, "Eh...whatever."

Endorsing Obama or Clinton is the choice that would get him headlines.

I sent him $500 in 2004. I still admire the guy, but I have to let him know how I feel.

I will be writing a personal letter to him.

It's sad seeing a few Edwards supporters suddenly change their avatars and signature line and defect to the "winners".

25. Deep down inside
they weren't for Edwards anyway.
The other two candidates do not reflect change...and true supporters INSIST on change.
It seems to me the ones that jump ship simply want to be on a winning team--thus making it about them, and not about the country.
To that I say, Good Riddance. We didn't need you in the first place.

31. Quit?
Theres no quitting in Politics! Somewhere along the line, to save this country from Corporate despotism, both Hillary and Obama will hiccup.

Only question isn't will they, but when.

When they show their real faces, it will be Edwards time.

How can anyone desert John when he is our last hope for a Progressive candidate? Hillary is owned by the major corporations and Obama is talking placating Conservatives and criticizing his own Party.

The latter was my last straw and exposes his agenda.

So why can't anyone in the GDP section see this?

I'm anti-religion in Government, but the bible offers up the best quote:

"There are none so blind as those who will not see".

35. remember
We represent the best interests of the majority of people in the country - the best hope for millions.

We have three things happening - the message; those of us rallying to the message; the candidate spearheading the message. We can carry forward the first two no matter what happens, can we not?

How about it? How committed is everyone here? Not just to Edwards, but how committed are we to his message and how committed are we to each other and how committed are we to alleviating the suffering and discouraged people in the country? Just so long as the polls look good? Does it depend on our mood? Do we quit when we get a little discouraged? If others don't agree with us, do we then wonder if we were wrong?

How committed are we?

I'm with John for the full ride!
