A new addition to my guitar stable is on the way....
I was a huge Smiths fan in high school (about the time I started plucking on guitars), so I've always wanted a Rickenbacker. I finally decided to just go ahead and get one, so this lovely 360-6 in Jetglo is on a truck headed my way. :woohoo:

1. You have my absolute envy
I've always wanted one of those, but they're too expensive for me to justify, being just a living room player. Congratulations!

2. My envy, too - I'm looking at used Fender 12's and Yamaha Pacificas,
but may have to settle for a Danelectro.

Please let us know how you like it when you get it.
It's a beauty.
Thanks.

3. The Rick is used, too....
I wasn't going to pay what they want for a new one, assuming I could even find one. From what I hear, Rickenbacker is WAY behind on orders and there is a massive wait list on new instruments. No matter to me, as I very seldom buy brand new instruments, anyway. I found this one through gbase.com.

4. I had one of those back in the late 80's............
Same coloration as well. I was a huge R.E.M. and Smithereens fan. Sadly, I sold it shortly after I got it as the fingerboard was too narrow for my likes (I replaced it w/ an American Standard Strat that I still own). Great guitar, tho.

5. It is kind of narrow....
I have average sized hands and fairly thin fingers, so it doesn't pose too much of a problem for me- I can comfortably play it. Truth be told- the Strat is my all-time favorite guitar, if only because of its versatility.

The only thing I may regret about this Rick is that it doesn't have the toaster pickups. I may end up swapping the high-outputs for toasters down the line.

6. The One Guitar I Still Want
Rick's have a very unique sound. Especially the 12 string. Congrats on your acquisition!

7. I was looking at a nice 12-string, too....
But ultimately decided to go for this one first, then (finances permitting) maybe seeking out a fireglo 330-12 in the next couple of years.

I've found it sounds better with my little Pro Jr amp (15W, with EL84s) than my Bassman.
