Wanted: Musicians who will play for free at peace event
Yeah, so I know that doesn't sound too appealing, but let me tell you about the event. Peace Takes Courage is going to be holding a Southern US Peace Protest at the Alabama State Captiol. The event is going to be advertised towards teens and young adults, but we are welcoming people of all ages. We plan to advertise this for the next few weeks and hopefully have a pretty big turn out. We already have several people who have volunteered to help out, but we are looking for local bands that will play at the event for no pay - we don't have money. No pay doesn't really attract many people, but all the proceeds that we raise at this even are going to go towards the "save darfur" organization, so it's all for a good cause. Let me know if anyone is interested or if anyone knows a band or musician that might would do it for us.

Thanks everyone!

1. I would play in a heartbeat if I was down there
It would be next to impossible to get my band members to all have time off to get down there, but we would do it.

Trust me Ava, most of us on here are used to playing for free..lol. I also think that everyone on here would play for free for a peace event. Good luck and I have a feeling it will all go well for you.

4. Wish I was in alabama
I'd play your event but I'm too far. How are things going? Find some bands yet? When is the event? Good luck.
