On the English page of the company's Japanese investor relations site, Capcom revealed plans to dissolve Clover Studio, the team behind the Viewtiful Joe games and most recently the critically acclaimed Okami. The dissolution is scheduled to take place at the end of the publisher's fiscal year next March. This news closely follows the releases of Okami and God Hand in North America.
I've never played a Clover Studio game,(that I know of)but I know a lot of people who swear on the merits of Viewtiful Joe and Okami. It really sucks when competent creativity and originality are brushed aside for business considerations. Especially in an industry where everything has basically boiled down to a rehash of all that came before.
