Fellow gamers and mac users: I bring news!

Crossover for mac! Amazing!
http://www.codeweavers.com/products/cxmac/

I am currently installing Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion on my Macbook Pro, without the need for Bootcamp. I don't know how well it will run (I'll get back to you), but it's installing great!

Download the free beta trial (2 months), it will be worth it, I'm sure!

(unfortunately, Baldur's Gate II didn't work for me :()

Update: On a sad note, Oblivion installed great and the opening menu loads, but you can't play the game. In any case, keep watching Crossover- this could be cool!

2. Was BG II Shadows of Amn?
Haven't played the series in a while and trying to remember.

But yeah, loved the entire series of BG.

3. Yeah SoA and it's mod. Throne of Bhal
Shadows of Ahm was awesome ToB was pretty good but many find it too rediculously high-level.

5. The battle at the Throne of Bhal? Yes, very tough!
Though it a cakewalk after Demogorgon at the Watcher's keep.

I just love the epilogue for what happens to every NPC...especially Minsc: "The stuff of legends! Eh, Boo?"

I miss Minsc...Hell, I miss Bioware in general.

6. haha, yup that battle at the Thone..was killer
I was trying as hell not to let my main character turn into the demon mode as much as I could. Man made those fights tough!

Minsc was a great character! Espicially Boo!!

7. I have a soft spot for all the NPCs in the game
The in-game banter and the side quests made them breathe with personality. With the exception of Haer Dalis and Anomen, they all kicked ass. Minsc stll has the best quotes.

Here is a collection of Misc quotes. Cut 'n' paste is your friend!

"Make way villain! Hero coming through! "

"I trust those who prey on children no farther than they can be thrown, even if I manage to throw them pretty far! "

"I won't cry for the dead! I won't! Well, maybe a little... but I will staunch the tears with righteous fury! "

"What? Boo is outraged! See his fury! It's small, so look close. Trust me, it's there. "

"Minsc will be free! These bonds will not hold my wrath! Butts will be liberally kicked in good measure!"

"I have lost myself in your words but Boo thinks you're just ducky."

"This is silly! Buttons are not how one escapes dungeons! I would smash the button and rain beatings liberally down on the wizard for playing such a trick!"

"I would hate being forgotten in a bottle. It might depend somewhat on the type of bottle, but overall I expect the effect would be similar. "

"I do not like the tone of your voice, Dark Elf. The face I have is the face the ladies love! Boo loves Minsc's face, too! Don't you, Boo? "

"Magic is impressive but now Minsc leads. Swords for everyone! "

"Butt kicking for goodness. "

"Despair not! I shall inspire you by charging BLINDLY ON. "

"Minsc- Yes! Lead evil by example, and one day we need no longer put the boots to those that stray off the path of goodness into the muck and bile of villainy and track great bloody footprints across our lily white tiles! Boo will have clean wood shavings you evil bastards!"

"You should have given a sword, give a man a fish and he feeds himself for a day, give a man a sword and he can chow down on the ,eaty marrow of evil! "

"Go for the eyes, Boo, go for the eyes! "

"You point, I punch!"

"Must... get aid soon... Boo is too young to have to avenge me."

"Feel the burning stare of my HAMSTER and change your ways!"

"I would hate being forgotten in a bottle. It might depend somewhat on the type of bottle, but overall I expect the effect would be similar. It is not right."

"No! Boo is NOT for eating! Boo is mighty and wise and probably quite stringy. Er, and he is my companion!"

"Come, we must press on against the tide of naughtiness. Mind your step."

"We must inspire fear in evil! Quiet tales of hamsters are foolish, but a man and his hamster that tear evil limb from limb? That's scary!"

"Now you are speaking the language of Minsc! Next we must get you a hamster! Or perhaps an ice weasel, whatever your tastes."

10. Jim Cummings.
What can you expect from the man who voiced Darkwing Duck, if not greatness?

11. and the Guy who does Jan's voice does documentary and truck
commercials all the time. Every time I hear him make a truck commercial, I ask "But would Uncle Spanky drive one? Now there was an evil gnome..."

12. ooh... very tempting.
i have MS office and really don't wanna format my ext. HDD, partition my macmini, load bootcamp and WinXP, and reinstall MS Office, just so i can use MS Word and PP. and this might give me a chance to play some of my video game emulators and old pc video games... though i'm probably better off doing the former. pooh.
