Something I find absolutely fascinating
It's remarkable how many anti-vaccination proponents have family who have contracted measles, mumps, etc. from "fully vaccinated" children, isn't it?

It's even more fascinating when the same anti-vaccination proponents cite that incident as a reason not to vaccinate--it's almost like they want to spread disease.

1. And for whatever reason, they just can't grasp that vaccination isn't 100% effective.
Or when they do, they latch onto that as if it proves vaccines are a complete failure.

There are no shades of gray to the anti-vax mind. Why else would they have so many allies on the extreme nonthinking right?

2. There's a definite anti-society air about a lot of it.
The idea that people should be free to opt-out of vaccination with no consequences seems like a cornerstone in the libertarian wet-dream where all contact with people is strictly voluntary.

How on Earth do they think disease spreads? Oh, right! From "fully vaccinated" individuals to other "fully vaccinated" individuals because herd immunity is an evil WHO conspiracy.

3. I'm not against vaccines
And I'm not anti-society. So, stop saying that.

When every last critic with a webpage is happy, when vaccines are out of corporate hands and made by wholegrain artisans down the street, when the moneyed liberals of DeepakAriannaVille Marin County are no longer maligned for their resistance, when you finally recognize the autism epidemic and accept that its sole cause is vaccines-HFCS-fluoride-videogames, when the Pope regards Wakefield's martyrdom as grounds for sainthood, when the NIH is rebranded/repurposed as the Mercola Institutes of Health, when you stop using the demeaning "herd immunity" as synonymous with "common cause"... then we can talk.

I'm not against vaccines. Just their use. So, enough with your character assassinations.

9. I'll have what Desiree Jennings is having
Vaccine advocates missed a grand opportunity with that one. Namely, that if you're lucky, the Bird Flu vaccine will give you a WAY COOL AUSSIE ACCENT!

14. Oh and I will say what many are thinking
I think that there are an awful lot of people who are saying that they've vaccinated their children and haven't. Anti-vaxxers aren't known for being honest and I can see money changing hands to accomplish this.

15. You have to ask yourself which is more likely:
-Anti-vax nutter Pro-safery advocate, while campaigning against vaccination for more safety and research, had their children vaccinated and it was just bad luck that the kid caught measles/pertussis/mumps from another fully vaccinated child.

OR

-Anti-vas nutter, while campaigning against vaccination, refused to have their child vaccinated and it was just "bad luck" that their kid caught measles/pertussis/mumps from another unvaccinated child.
