1. Notice how
the fact that their child gets ABA services is completely overlooked by the woos? Gee, let's see, a proven theraputic modality has helped their child's integrative functions - whoda thunk it? Nope, it's got to be the chelation.

4. I've been keeping up on that one being home sick

late yesterday and all day today. I did post a little something on the Amish don't vaccinate stuff. It was just a blog discussing the issue with a link to what unfortunately is just the abstract (unless you pay). I got what I'd guess is a smartass response based on other replies by that person.

I wish I had a vaccine for what's infesting my nose and lungs. Someone at work mentioned adenovirus that's lasting 2 weeks, I don't know if another person was diagnosed or not but 3 people in my group are out sick today a guy on the other side of the cube wall was also coughing yesterday, one was sick last week, and someone else in another group was sick a week or so before that. They used to have a couple of adeno vaxes but they aren't made anymore. I did the 2+ week thing in December, this better go away quickly. Oh well I'm watching a *great* Discovery Channel show on a haunted house in Kansas! :eyes: ETA: A psychic is being brought in! Hooray!

5. I got a bit more snappish than normal...
There are some of us who owe our lives to modern medicine; and some of us who know first hand what it's like to be constantly afraid that a family member undergoing chemo on top of an illness that already reduces immunity will catch a simple infection and die or become very seriously ill. (This was my father many years ago.) I do get a bit sick of the self-righteousness, and the assumption that the ONLY reason why some people support vaccinations is that we're 'big pharma shills' and the like. I do realize that some of it is a defense mechanism by people still looking for a miracle cure for their autistic children.

I should really stay out of health (though this was on GD). I can manage some other forums that some people find toxic; but health tends to touch a few raw nerves.

6. the problem is
that in health issues, too many people put all this stock into "a mother's intuition," etc. And if we say that's bullshit (politely), they consider it an attack on motherhood, or love, or humanity. We must be these cold, logical robots.
