Just made my first batch of fresh pesto - yum :)

Basil leaves
Olive oil
tsp of lemon juice for tang
chopped garlic
pinch of coarse salt....
and I added a couple of small Mescul leaves to give it a little kick.

Blend it in a food processor.

Oh man! :9


Please add your favorite pesto recipes to this thread.
I have soooo much basil, I want to try them all!

1. I would use the same recipe as yours, but add grated
parmesan cheese and pine nuts or walnuts. Yum indeed! Can't wait until my basil goes into overdrive.

4. I've alread done a gallon of pesto so far this year.
And the basil looks like it's about ready for another batch.

ACK!! I didn't plant any basil this year. :banghead:
I'm with you on the basic recipe but like Japple I add the pinenuts.

3. I am waiting on tomato's
for some fresh bruschetta, growing the basil, growing the tomato's, just waiting on them to ripen.
