Obviously she is just fine if a little shaken.

It happened while I was out. A little while after I came home she asked, didn't you hear the crash? Didn't you see the police swarming all over your backyard? Didn't you see all the smoke?

I was like, huh? I had no idea what she was talking about. So she leads me to my own backyard where I saw this:

ARRGGHH! There go half of my tomatoes and rasberries!

1. poor tomatoes :(
I guess tomatoes are mostly temporary anyway but will the raspberries survive??

My neighbors are building a new fence right next to my vegetables so I'll have 2 or 3 men stamping all around my tomatoes for the next few days. There's nothing too important over there except a honeysuckle on the old fence that they've probably just killed this morning

2. I was just beginning to get my first rasberries of the season
The bush is very hardy and prolific -- just about doubles each year, so I'm not worried long term.

But my mouth was watering for this year's crop. Damn!

The insurance guy looks like he's trying not to trample all over everything.

If they go too far in the back they may discover some surprise "gifts" from my dog Teddie that I may not have found and removed yet.

3. buy replacement fruits at a famer's market
And demand the insurance reimburse you for it.

I'm very sorry this happened to you.
