My raspberries are tasteless!
What is going on? Is it the strain? My soil? Nutrients? But, yuck!

1. Details, we need details!
What variety, weather conditions, site, care, etc. That will help.

I will say this much up front, though -- if you're in one of those parts of the country where all its done this spring is rain for days on end, I'm not surprised. Overwatered anything, from raspberries to tomatoes to blueberries and peaches generally doesn't have much flavor. So, if you're someplace where that happened, like say Kentucky, I would say that would be the reason.

3. Details...okay
these nameless raspberries are from a local grower. This is their first year. Water has been adequate, maybe more than adequate for some of the time, but not flooded (NW Arkansas here.) The blueberries have taste, but the strawberries and raspberries have a nothing taste going on. Strawberries are Ozark and Ever Sweet. This is first year for all this. I planted early spring and these were all first year plants.

4. Hi, Neighbor!
West/Central Arkansas, Ouachita Mountains, here.

We have been trying to grow decent Raspberries since 2006,
and have been disappointed.
We pulled them all up this Spring,
and planted Dorman Reds.
No ripe berries yet, but a few on the young vines.

I don't know whether it is possible to grow a decent Raspberry in The South.
ALL of the really good ones I have tasted have come from up North,
with the wild Minnesota Raspberry being the best,
but we are going to keep trying.

OTOH:
Our Strawberries this year were FANTASTIC.
We grow two varieties;
an Everbearing (Ozark Beauty),
and a June Bearing, Sequoia.
We got a good crop from each,
and both were bursting with Orgasmic Strawberry flavor.

I can't even venture a guess as to WHY some local grown Strawberries would lack flavor.
Perhaps overwatering (suggested above) could be a problem.
Our patch is on a hillside, well drained,
and we irrigate from a well,
so we are inclined to do the minimum.

The Strawberries are done now,
but the Blueberries, and wild Blackberries are just starting to come in.
We DO need some rain for the Blackberries.

OOPS!
Just re-read you post.
1st year Strawberries can be disappointing.
Ours didn't start getting really good until the 3rd year.
We almost gave up on Strawberries the 2nd year,
(way too much work, low production),
but the last two years have changed our minds.
Strawberries remain Labor Intensive, but well worth the effort.

OTOH, Blueberries are nearly effortless.
