Gonna have to put up electric wire
around the perimeter of the garden and chicken pen. The raccoons killed a couple of chickens the last week or so, and we stopped that, but they are getting into the garden and tipping over the galvanized cans of scratch and sunflower seeds. I don't want them eating our veggies and strawberries once we get going so I see no way around doing this.

2. Not one that
gives a rat's ass about the garden and the chickens. LOL She doesn't hurt the chickens but she'd just as soon not have them around. Anything that takes our time away from her, she's jealous of.

3. Hot wire works....
tie some bacon on it, and you're golden! Bologna will do, too.

If it's deer that's the problem... try rags soaked in molasses tied to the wire.

Put the cans of scratch on a rubber mat a tiny bit bigger than the can, and attach the wire to it. A little water on the ground around it.... varmint stands on the ground, touches the can......

Results? No permanent harm, and a varmint with an education.

4. Anyone used coyote or wolf or mountain lion urine?
I have javelinas. Some claim success with ML urine for javelina. I tried some powdered stuff that was fake ML made with urea without success. Next time they put me on their periodic route, I'll try the real deal (available in liquid).

My garden is fenced, but they RIP the skirting off the bottom of my house and nest under it for a week, rubbing on the pipes and ducting!!!!! They fart and argue at night! Herds are generally a dozen... a few 60-75 lb adults and a bunch of little ones.

Some people find success using the urine for deer and other animals.

Search the words 'urine repellant'.

5. I've used fox urine...
to get rid of squirels in the attic. They literally fly out of there as soon as you put it down. You could put it on cotton balls and stuff them around your garden but some coons might be bigger and more viscous than a lil ole fox.

6. Very good to know!
Supposedly for javelinas, I need Mountain Lion urine (which is available online).

The idea of the fox repellant in the attic sure beats traps & poisons. Good to just chase em away.

I recommend genuine urine, not the Shake-Away powder stuff that is mostly chemical urea or ureic acid.

7. That product could be from a fox farm
and support the fascisto-fur agenda.

8. I've read raccoons hate cucumbers. Maybe a perimeter planting?
Supposedly, planting cukes with corn keeps the little bandits out.
