Light, good thoughts, prayer (whatever) for the people of Iran

From what I am reading they are carrying a big load in the push toward democracy and peace right now. Best wishes for them can't hurt. If the Iranian people manage to invalidate this seriously flawed election and achieve democracy I believe this would go along with the positive changes in the world that PC has been telling us about here.

I thank the universe we didn't bomb these people, they are fighting so hard for positive change right now. Bless them. I hope we get to see a sane, democratically elected leader of Iran sitting in the Oval Office with the President for a photo op at some point.

The Iranian opposition's slogan was borrowed and quite familiar; "Yes we can".

My prayers and thoughts are with these people right now. They are truly doing the right thing. I really thought things would go well, but they didn't.
We should all give them lots of light to fight this.

5. I've been praying for Iran steadily for four years.

And will continue to do so enthusiastically. Particularly because what I get right now is that Ahmadinejad isn't going anywhere (yet). Blech. Peace to Iran and her people.

6. God, I really feel for them.

They get to go through what we went through for 8 years. All the love and light I can muster, I send to them. At least they went into the streets, which is more than Americans did (though there were protests at the inauguration and in May 2001, which I attended).

7. Wow, just found out my sister's friend is in Iran!

My sister just called and a good friend of hers from work, who is originally from Iran, is currently visiting his family there. She said he and his wife took their vacation to go home to let their families see their 6 year old and especially see their 20 month old for the first time. She hadn't seen the news today and didn't know what was going on in Iran post election until we started talking about it. She said her co-worker is from outside Tehran. She got to be good friends with him by them both having little girls about the same ages and sharing pictures at work a lot.

We are all so connected to one another on this little blue marble.
