Peace starts within, and spreads through compassion towards others, I think. Just showing respect for another because they are a person--for no other reason--just taking the time to listen--these are all part of spreading peace, I think.

Did you know that the etymology of the word "ecstasy" is to stand beside oneself. . .?

It's sort of a bird's eye perspective on self I guess.

3. You get to that with every breath

I'm convinced of it--visualization and meditation draws to you that which you desire. So why not desire basic humanism in all? It is a step, and the one thing we can do besides treating others as we would like to be treated.
