Thanks for the heads up, Villager. Interesting that it uses the Mayan method of counting days of the month. I think that's the point they were trying to make more than the notification of a lunar eclipse--a nice subtle nod to the wisdom of the Mayans, and that their calendar is highly relevant right about now.

villager, that is quite a site and what a great find. Thank you so much for posting it here.
I have been reading there for the last hour and have bookmarked it. Not only is the site well designed, but it has a tremendous amount of information--studies by chemists, physicists, etc., and also eyewitness testimony to crop circle formation.

This is the story of two investigators who had been working on crop circle formation. One was becoming discouraged. That night they go to bed and... (I won't spoil the ending, as it is quite suspenseful).

Morning Glow, that is an interesting observation and one that might be in keeping with messages from other crop circles. On the recent crop circle with pi, for example, the crop circle showed the decimal point where we put it. That shows they know and are sensitive to our system of expression. This information comes from the person who figured out the message of that crop circle. His name escapes me at the moment but when and if I come up with it, I'll post back here. I believe he is a mathematician.

MG, you, too, might find the above report to be of interest because at the end, the researcher speculates if this circle wasn't put there deliberately at that time. It's a very odd story. If you do read it, I'd be interested in what you think about it.

Also, I wanted to add that I have heard this date (August 16) mentioned by psychics. Something big is happening about that time.

Very interesting story! I have done a lot of reading on crop circles over the years--used to keep up with them far better than I do now. IIRC, 2001 was a key year for circles--a "boom", if you will. I believe 2001-02, maybe '03, were the busiest years, and then the number of circles started to decrease after that (although there are still some created every year, of course).

The story you linked to is quite curious--the moment I read that the author was frustrated at lack of evidence, I knew one would be showing up! I read a similar story in a book on crop circles several years ago--researchers were camped out in England and were unhappy that they hadn't seen one in a while. Only a couple of minutes later, one appeared in a field quite near them.

What's curious about the story you linked to is that the people saw beams of light creating them. In the anecdote from the book I read, I'm pretty sure the circle appeared with no visual evidence of creation--the researchers looked away, looked back, and there it was, within seconds. So either the folks are making it up (I'd rather not go with that option--I want to believe!), or they can see the creators just as they can see the orbs while other can't, or the entities REALLY wanted them to see one being created.

6. Whoa... okay, I've got a question.

My 60th birthday is on August 16 this year (Scorpio rising, Capricorn moon) -- the date of the upcoming lunar eclipse that some force chose to forecast with a crop circle.

In the past, I've always felt a little stressed during lunar eclipses and wonder if this one on my birthday is going to have any special significance for me? I've been looking forward to this birthday, now wonder if I should be worried.
