Another one of our cats has disappeared.
Our orange and white tom cat, Orson. Please send whatever energy you can to facilitate his re-appearance (we've already canvassed the neighborhood and put up signs). Thanks in advance.

3. Vibes coming your way, BI
When I read your post I saw Orson scooting down the sidewalk, intently sniffing all the new smells. He looks BUSY!

Is he neutered? He almost looked like he was seeking kitty companionship. (That wasn't the sniffing--he was just checking everything out--but it seemed he had something else on his mind as well.)

4. Yes, all of our cats are spayed/neutered. (Except the new kitten, of course.)
It's funny...I don't have a feeling that anything bad has happened to Orson, but he's still missing. And I am damn sick of losing all these cats after almost six years of no significant cat losses.

One of our cats disappeared in December and we haven't seen him since. So upsetting. We really miss him.

12. I am so glad that Orson has been found!
Hooray! I am sure Orson is as happy as you are to be home.

Just a thought here: Have you given some thought to keeping the cats indoors? Cats live much longer lives indoors, and, they can't get lost.

My two boys have gotten very used to being indoors. They love looking outside (I have sliders in the kitchen that they sit by "by the hour", and, they look out my large bedroom windows which face a protected wilderness just about as much. They watch deer, squirrels, birds, racoons, and a multitude of bees and other insects. They used to bolt for the door whenever we went in or out, but now, they don't even try...and, I suspect they would much rather view what's there than be out in it.

They are young (both about 3), so, their satisfaction has nothing to do with "mature" age.

I admit the litterbox is a pain, but, I much prefer this nuisance knowing that my two boys are always safe.

As I said, just a thought. In any event, it sounds like you are a very caring "Mama cat"!
