Anyone else looking at a blood red full moon tonight?
I'm wondering if its the reason everyone is driving me crazy tonight. Everyone has had some kind of issue or problem tonight at my job. I cannot seem to catch a break. My poor hubby even got it from me transfering my frustration; and it wasn't fair. I told him, let me get through this and out of this place, then I'll try to be back to normal.

1. Here in Texas it was a beautiful golden/white color.
Hang in there.

2. In Georgia, it was a beautiful gold, then later in the night, it
became clear and white. Just gorgeous. There is a passage from the book of Revelations in the bible that talks about "the moon turning to blood". I think this is from a part that is dealing with the end times. Being raised in the Baptist church, my sister and I were always afraid we were going to see that blood red moon and the world would end shortly thereafter.

3. The "moon turning to blood" or "blood on the moon"
refers to an eclipse. If you look at a full eclipse of the moon, the Earth's shadow doesn't actually obscure it entirely. Instead it turns a deep, rusty red.

5. What you are seeing is
a distortion of the light at the horizon. Here's an explanation:

When the moon is low, the reflected sunlight has to travel through more air than when the moon is high in the sky. Colors at the blue and violet end of the rainbow (spectrum) are easily scattered or bent (refracted) by the atmosphere. (That's why the sky is blue: you're seeing blue sunlight scattered in every direction.) So it's the colors at the red and orange end of the spectrum that pass through the atmosphere and into your eyes.
