I know many here were feeling something "wrong"
over the past few days... and when I did my reading for the eclipse of the sixth, and began reading the eclipse on the 20th of Feb, I wondered about earthquakes. Well, it seems one hit southern Mexico last night/this morning. New reports state:
1 hour, 10 minutes ago

MEXICO CITY - A magnitude-6.4 earthquake shook southern Mexico on Tuesday, but there were no immediate reports of major damage.

The quake gently swayed buildings in Mexico City and rocked parts of Mexico's southern Pacific and Gulf coasts. In the southern city of Tuxtla Gutierrez, many people fled into the streets and then lingered outside their homes, fearing aftershocks.

"It was horrible," said Cecilia Gomez, standing with her family outside her home. "It really scared me."

Daniel Roque, of southern Chiapas state's civil protection agency, said some residents reported panic attacks, but no damage was registered.

The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake struck at 6:50 a.m. (7:50 a.m. EST) and was centered 70 miles southwest of Tuxtla Gutierrez, near the border between Oaxaca and Chiapas states.

Be sure to send vibes to those affected by this tragedy... and I hope this is the only quake that region suffers!

1. I'm sending light and energy.
May it go where it is most needed in the area.

2. Oh, dear.
One of my worst fears is another "mega quake."

... I remember from my Geology and Earth Sciences classes about aftershocks... and I worry there might be yet more (and possibly worse) quakes yet to come for these people and their land.

Let's continue to send loving and supportive vibes to those affected, and while we're at it, let's send some loving and releasing vibes to the tectonic plates and Gaia. Mother Earth could really use some lovin' right now too... she's had eight years of the * Admin's pollution and raping her. :grr:

I think that we can expect more earthquakes and volcanic activity (as well as other natural disasters) if we continue to mistreat Ge and ignore the warning signals that she is sending us!

4. Did I read that wrong?

It says no damage was done and apart from being scared no one was hurt?

If that's correct, what's the tragedy?

5. Well, that large parts of that area
are very "country" and don't have modern convinences... like a single village may have the only computer with internet and telephone for 50 miles. It's isolated and a very traditional region... it may be days before we know the real extent of damage or how many people were injured or (gods forbid!) killed.

It was a pretty significant quake, and any earthquake is traumatic and emotionally damaging. I don't discount what it is like to experience a natural disaster and its aftermath (I have experience with forces of nature, and they are quite stressful and disruptive) and I think we should think of that when reading these stories of these people.

8. Living on the west coast, I know how frightening earthquakes can be
Hopefully the report that there was no damage or injuries will continue to hold true.
