Pope's Funeral - 4/8
So, it looks like the Pope's funeral will be on the 8th, which is the eclipse, right?

Will it be a peaceful day?

1. we are looking at a lot of grief
Thursday through Saturday, and especially through Friday night. Both Venus and the Sun will be square Saturn during that time. Friday night, with the eclipse, the Moon chimes in.

Bush's transit of Uranus opposite his Mars will also be strong, so he will be very irritable and easily angry, and likely piss off a lot of people who have come to mourn and not placate his Imperial needs. though I don't expect a big incident, I expect a lot of irritablity and minor upsets in this area.

5. Actually Nancy, it's quite a dangerous
transit for him. And on the eclipse. I make no other comment.

However, I hope whatever it is, it will be either before or after the funeral.

It would be a shame to have this once in 2000 years procession ruined.

11. Nancy, Pallas, others: Has anyone done Clinton's chart lately?
Edited on Tue Apr-05-05 01:38 PM by KoKo01
Since he will be attending with Bush, I wonder what that means.

I've seen no reports on how Clinton has been doing after his second surgery. But, I've been away, so may have missed them. The alliance between Clinton and Bush I & II, seems to be growing. It worries me because what does it mean for our Democrats in the future to have this what seems to me "odd" alliance.

2. The Pope was born on a Solar Eclipse at 26 Taurus which
happens to be his Vertex in Rome conjunct his Sun. Fated.

These degrees are also part of the Pleiades - the Weeping Sisters- which may have added to his conviction that life was for suffering - his life certainly had a lot of suffering.

He goes to his final resting place, entombment, on the Solar Eclipse
of April 8 at 19 Aries.

In the Arabic Parts:

His Part of Spirit is 18 Libra 53, which is most interesting that it takes the eclipse.

His Part of Death 18 Libra 59

His Moon/Uranus Midpoint is 19 Aries with ruler Aquarius his 4th house.

3. Ugh, I can' t believe he's actually going
His presence is bad enough on its own merits (or lack thereof) but imagine how many who truly came to mourn will be displaced by his immense goon squad. Talk about an eclipse, mourners being forced to tiptoe around the Emperor of the 21st century crusades. Wasn't it during his recent German trip they soldered manhole covers closed and told people not to look out their windows or stand on their balconies when his motorcade went by?

I hope someone in the European press asks him if he's so hot on funerals why hasn't he attended any American servicepeople's services.

4. Mandate, you're speaking of Dimbot of course. His
going is a pain for the other dignitaries, I agree.

"I hope someone in the European press asks him if he's so hot on funerals why hasn't he attended any American servicepeople's services. "

And that's a very good point. Why don't you e mail it to Chris Matthews of Olbermann...maybe they'll mention it....or even to the Post, or NYT, or LA Times.

Also like Santa Claus.

Did anyone else notice that? The red garments, trimmed in white fur.

8. I can't help but see Bush doing this to garner attention away from the

solemnity of this occasion. Something in his own religious make up compells him to attend Whether it's to upstage the whole Catholic Community by having a President who thinks he's called by God from his "born again" experience show up in Rome to defy the "original church" or his own sense of "shove it in your eye" retribution to the world and the Pope for urging us not to invade Iraq, I see this as a "Grandstanding" moment for him.

I find his decision to attend the Pope's funeral evil in intent. When I heard he planned to attend, I actually shivered. I felt a sense of malevolence surrounding this.

I'm sure he will end up fine and the cables will use every opportunity to showcase him. Because whatever he does he has the "luck of the Devil," it seems. And when all is said and done, its always about "HIM," anyway.

9. Clinton will be attending with Bush, but not Carter.....
Edited on Tue Apr-05-05 12:33 PM by KoKo01
This is interesting. But, I'm not sure what it means. Clinton seems to be spending much time with the Bushies lately:

President Bush and his wife, Laura, will lead the five-member group representing the United States at the funeral on Friday, White House press secretary Scott McClellan said.

It wasn't immediately clear why former President Carter was not going along as well. McClellan said the White House reached out to him but would not elaborate. A spokesman with his Carter Center in Atlanta, Jon Moore, also would not explain.

Former President Ford, who lives in California, is 91 and no longer travels extensively.

Clinton spokesman Jim Kennedy said the former president had been given clearance by his doctors to fly to Rome. Clinton had surgery a month ago in New York to deal with a rare complication from a heart bypass operation six months earlier. His doctors had originally told him he would need four to six weeks at home, but he traveled by train last week to Washington to collect an award for his work on AIDS.

13. Clinton is not well, but he's going to steal the show from dimbot -they
will love him over there and express it...but it would seem he's going to be sick - or re-open a wound...the eclipse hits his Vertex
opposite Chiron, and transiting Chiron opposes his natal Saturn

15. I've seen so little about his second surgery, it's been worrisome.
Edited on Tue Apr-05-05 11:45 PM by KoKo01
And, that he's seemed to cozy up to the Bushies I and II. But, I could understand that given his history...it's a hard burden he bears seeing what has come to the country because of what he must believe was Monica, when in fact we know the "set up" now. Still he did have a choice in that...to take the bait or not. It can't be easy to live with.

I wonder if anyone has done his chart for the next few months to see if it is better than what you are seeing for the funeral. And, I read here Pallas that you were worried about his second surgery that it might not go well and there was some discussion. He should have rebounded better than what we are seeing if it went well?

Maybe Bush Sr. got Clinton to go to get the heat off his loser spawn.

16. OMG, SpiralHawk....it's spooky enough with Clinton in tow....now
you've really creeped me out. Especially with some of us thinking this trip isn't so good, timing wise.

But, hey, I'm not an astrologer, but get these creeped out feelings like many here and who post sometimes when we feel "somethings up." Maybe some of us who aren't astrologers are just "sensitives" compelled to post our feelings and hoping you astrologers can make sense of some of it.

The whole Pope funeral scenario is truly creepy given the Bushies backgrounds and since I don't put Clinton all the way in their evil league, I just can't get his association with them, unless there's some weird astrological tie in between their charts that compells Clinton to now seek their help to right past problems.

17. I think we are reading too much into Clinton's going to Rome.
Edited on Wed Apr-06-05 12:44 AM by PinkTiger
Bill Clinton proved, as President, that he was a true uniter, not a divider. Of course he should go, as the last truly elected President of the U.S. (Sorry, chimp).
But more importantly, he should take his rightful place among the dignitaries going.
I'm surprised that Carter is not going, but there is a lot of bad blood between Carter and Bush Sr., going back a long ways. So I'm not surprised in some ways. Also, J.C. never cared for the pomp and circumstance. Clinton thrives in it.
I just wish that Hillary were going, as well. For some reason they are limiting the delegation to five people.
Apparently Bush is taking both of his wives, Condi and Laura, along with his father and Clinton.

18. Bush taking "both of his wives." A good one....
:D Has anyone ever tried to cast a chart for Condi? It might be interesting to see what's coming up for her considering her role in the Bush II family. If she has some tough transits coming it will reflect on the Chimp and vice versa.

What I find worrysome is the Clinton trip with Poppy to aid the Tsunami survivors where Poppy says "maybe I'm the father he never had" thereby co-opting Clinton as one of his clan.

Hillary's partnering with Delay and Lindsay Graham on legislation, and now Clinton and Bush going to the Funeral while Carter was rebuffed.
It doesn't look good for our Democratic Party to see the Clinton's cozying up to the very people who hounded them for 8 years, impeached him and made a mockery of both of them with the Monica stuff.

It makes me wonder what the hell is going on that the Clinton's can't turn their back on these people and speak out about what they've done.
So, it says they gave up and joined them leaving us with another mess just like the last four years of Clinton administration was in taking it's toll on our party.

Maybe he's actually practicing the religion he believes in by "turning the other cheek" and "loving thy enemies".

It would make him a better man than most of us.

22. Turning the Cheek to a person who vilified you and caused your country
to turn against the weak and the poor and dismantled everything Dems have stood for since FDR...is a kind of weak defense, I think.

I'm a Christian but I don't think Jesus said to "turn the cheek" to folks who wanted to bury you and overthrow everything you did to try to help the poor, the weak and the disenfranchised.

Hey...I'm an Episcopalian...maybe I just learned the wrong things in Sunday School all those years I spent...
