Any odd psychic thing happen to you today?
In another thread, a few people suggested a thread where others could share their experiences as a way to possibly increase psychic awareness. This can be anything. So, I will start.

Today, I got a tool in the mail. The last one I had was green. I just knew, before opening the envelope it would not be green. Now, I had no way of knowing their were different colors. So, I thought it was going to be "yellow," but I kept thinking, "I am missing something, I am missing something." I opened the package and it was....BLUE! I was crestfallen! I was so sure I was right, even if I kept thinking I was missing something. Then, a thought hit me...the last one was green, if it was missing yellow, then it would be blue! So, looking too much into it or did I just get my 'psychic' lines crossed?

The other thing that happened was on Monday. I watched a program, "Medium," and one of the characters said "abject terror." The next show I watched, "The Daily Show," that same phrase was used again. Now, words are often repeated, but after I heard that phrase in "Medium" I kept repeating it. My partner even looked at me like I was on crack! Then, when it was said again, I said, "there is that phrase again!" So, why did that phrase jump out? Why did I keep repeating it?

Thoughts? Comments?

1. I don't know, but I'm in abject terror
of it happening to me.

2. i've always thought it was weird
lots of times when i learn a new word or phrase, i will hear it everywhere, from tv to conversations with other people, for a few days. and it's apparent that it's not commonly used, or else i would have heard it before.

3. I have a Bobcat spirit in my house
And I saw him again today. :) He's so beautiful but I have no idea if he is trying to give me messages or is just here.

A few months ago a Panther spirit jumped over me while I was half asleep - and scared the crap out of me. Not sure what that was all about either.

I seem to attract a lot of animal spirits - why? I have no idea.

4. Mostly cats of some kind?
Are you mostly feline in your attitudes?

I have had ghost kitties underfoot for years, but never stopped to wonder about it given the fact that I love cats and always have. Hubby, however, is a man of "science" and as a result kind pooh-poohed the idea until he saw and heard them one morning. Now he takes it a bit more seriously...

I have been told by one person who was into totem magics that animal spirits gravitate to the people who carry that animal as a totem. I have never studied animistic magics much so I have no idea.

I have also been told that animal spirits are drawn to people who will appreciate them as the animals they were. (I bet it must a real bitch to be a skunk fan, if that is true!)

I have always joked that if I come back in another form that I want to come back as one of my house-cats or one of my friends' cats. All they do is eat, sleep, play, and poop--it'd be a tough old world!

Enjoy your guests! They are beautiful in their form and it is nice to be visited--eh?

5. I never thought of it before
But it is mostly cats. And we have had a black cat spirit with us forever - this one hubby even sees. Hubby says I am like a cat. I sleep most of the day and am up all night. LOL

I will have to do some reading on animal spirits. I do have a particular affinity for animals. We have strays (mostly cats) show up on our doorstep almost daily. And all animals seem to be attracted to me.

Interesting stuff.

8. My SO woke from a nap this afternoon
Then he mentioned he had a weird dream. He then went to the kitchen and fixed himself something to eat and when he returned to the living room (stuffing his face) I asked about his weird dream. He said it was fuzzy and he'd never had a dream quite like that before and all he could really remember was that he was extremely hungry and that he kept eating and eating and eating and he just couldn't get full.

He asked why I was smiling and I said, no reason

What he doesn't know, nor has he noticed that I haven't eaten any meals with him, is that today was the fifth and breaking day of my fast. I wasn't hungry at all but it sounds like in his dream he was as hungry as a man that hadn't eaten for five days ;-) heh heh

Just one of those things that make me go, 'hmm' along with my little inner chuckle :-)

FYI: I do juice cleansing fasts with fresh organic veggies and fruits and my beloved juicer :9

9. Today I got a call from the nurse where
my aunt is in an acute care facility (she broke her hip). She told me that my aunt's blood work showed a serious problem with platelet count and she would have to go immediately back to the hospital. I didn't believe it, but I called my sister so we could get ready to do whatever needed to be done and told her "if it's not something goofy that they have done.

About 30 minutes later the nurse called back to say the lab made a mistake and thought it was 1700 when it was 700.

I just had a feeling something was off about it.

10. some you figure out later
Re the green/blue/yellow tool, so many times things happen like that which are a little hard to interpret until they are given some thought. AHA moment! It's like the time that I went to buy half 'n half at the grocery store. They had just unpacked a case and the containers were still sitting in the crate. As I chose, my hand wavered over each one. I noticed I was doing this but had no idea why.

When I got home, the half 'n half wasn't any good. A day or so later, I took it back to the store. The clerk commented to the other clerk, "This is another one from that bad case."

So at some level I was detecting that none of the half 'n halfs were good, which is why my hand wavered over the crate.

I've had the word thing happen to me, too.

temp, that was funny about your husband. Mine empathizes so much with me that he gets all my little illnesses, etc.

This week I "wished" that my brother could come and see me. Not only do I want to see and hang out with him, I need some work done at a rental I have and I could pay him to do the work. So out of the blue my mother calls me and says she'll foot the bill for the airline flight to come see me!

Another one. My husband and I do this all the time: go shopping at the store and buy the same things. We did it for Valentine's Day. We went to the same store (Whole Foods) but in different towns. It was also at the same time (we noted the cash register receipts--he checked out at 5:37 p.m. and I at 5:35 p.m.) We bought the same things, too. We do that every so often; always good for a laugh and plenty of double milks, double half 'n halfs, double chocolate truffles, etc.

Here's one that hasn't panned out, though. About three weeks ago I "flashed" on a place called Five Corners. Nothing's come of it yet, though.

11. synching up feeling
I had a kind of eerie moment this morning--sort of like a deja vu but not a deja vu.

It was barely light and my kitty cats Bitsey and Greenlee were at the back door. They love to look out this French door--the windows are on their level. It snowed in the northeast last night and there are five inches of fluffy white snow on the ground.

Bitsey was trying to work up her nerve to go out, which sometimes can take three tries at the door when it is snowy like this. I had opened the door for her for the third time when she finally went out. She stood on just the other side of the door, though, and didn't go anywhere. Greenlee was on the inside of the door and we were both looking out. My eye took in the white cat on the inside and the black cat on the outside. White snow on the ground outside and dark on the inside.

I started to get this odd feeling--it wasn't quite a deja vus but more like a feeling of "synching up." Like maybe when you plug in a PDA to the computer and the hot synch program says the synch is completed. When I saw the white snow on top of the planter and the ivy trailing out of it, that's when I had that moment of "synchronization." It was this gentle feeling, though. Just kind of like a feeling of things falling into place.

13. well this is actually several days
from time of your post to mine :) --- but here goes, cuz it's one of the weirder things that's happened in a couple of months.

On another thread, there's a discussion about the fake reporter, Jeff Gannon. This discussion has been looking at elements of a gay/child porn ring scandal from the late 80's and finding various similarities and possible linkages.

The discussion turned toward whether this JDG could actually be a kidnapped boy whose name is Johnny Gosch, who survived and turned up at his mom's several years ago. There are some amazing coincidences, and while I was reading, up came an unretouched photo of the young Johnny Gosch. I had an instant "connection"...found myself "going to him" (in the PAST!) and holding him as he stood there in this darkness, his face swollen by crying and he was sobbing and sobbing.

MY Goodness! It keeps making me want to cry. It happens every time I see that photo. I feel psychically pulled to him. That doesn't really happen to me. But it did.

So there you are.

14. oh my!
That is quite fascinating, sojourner. I'd love to see that photo to compare to the adult JG. I'll do a search for it.

I saw only the second thread on this; hope to locate the first.

Wouldn't it be something if this story took that bizarre twist? It's bizarre enough as it is.

BTW, I am very familiar with the Franklin story and in fact, a member of my family knows the author of the book on it. There is so much to read on this topic and I have to admit, even I have a hard time believing things like pedophile rings that reached into the bush and Reagan administrations. It's just so, so bizarre.

15. family--reading each other's minds
My brother is visiting for a few weeks. My brother is a scientific type and doesn't have much of an interest in psychic things. We've not had any ESP connections in the past but for some reason, in the last two to three months, he's been very astute at what exactly is on my mind. Before his visit, I was on my computer and thinking about how I could connect it with a notebook to exchange some files. About a minute after that thought, my brother IM'd me with a link that told me exactly how to do it.

Last night was another one: I was cleaning out my Yahoo e-mail box and found a coupon for Supercuts. At that moment, my brother said, "I need to go get a haircut at that Supercuts at the mall."

On Saturday, my brother, husband and I decided to watch a movie that my brother thought I'd like. It's M. Night Shyamalan's "The Village." Prior to the movie, my husband, who has an especially keen sixth sense, was asking if we wanted to light a fire in the fireplace. He asked numerous times but I thought it was too much work so said no.

During the movie, my brother noted that in so many of the scenes, there was a fire going in the fireplace.

My brother mentioned that Sigourney Weaver and William Hurt, the stars of the movie, were well disguised in their characters and with the costuming. I said, "Oh William Hurt and Sigourney Weaver--I met them both in the Village." My brother looked at me, puzzled. I explained, "Greenwich Village. They were both starring in a play not far from The Lion's Head, a writer's bar I used to frequent." We both had to laugh at the irony of "the Village" and "The Village."

I wanted to have pizza while we watched the movie but we went with pasta, as my husband is not a pizza-lover. After the movie, I called my mother to chat. I asked, "Do you have time to talk now or are you busy?" and she said, "I can only talk for a minute as your dad and I are going out for pizza."

16. Well, that's weird. I read this subject heading and thought about my day
and felt that nothing psychic had happened so I signed off this board and went to the "latest" where someone had just posted the subject "I just wanted to say" and I KNEW he or she was going to say "I love you" and I was right. - wow - and there is still 25 minutes left of the day!

18. Nothing recently.
Dreams have increased in intensity; as a matter of fact, I was going to drop one in here for you, but I'm not retaining enough detail. I wake up with a feeling of urgency, but can't remember who the people were or what the issue was. The only memory I've retained is of me, wading through a waist deep, crowded swamp, carrying something alive. Child, baby, or animal; I'm not sure, but I was protecting it. The swamp was full of massive alligators. They were sleeping or ignoring me; I was trying to work my way around them without attracting attention to get out of the swamp. I did eventually make it on to dry ground, trying to find someone who was "waiting" for me, and still carrying my "charge."

Life events have also been intense, with some heavy conflicting demands on me at this point; I've been so focused on the demands, I haven't really been "listening."
