What's Your Take on this Photo?
Last night I was reading the orbs thread and so I went into my pics to get a photo to post on that thread (haven't done that yet, but I will soon). Anyway, as I was browsing through my pics, I found a folder of pictures where the lighting was so dark that I'd never looked at them. The pics were of my neighbor's daughter, who had come over to play with my two kittens that I adopted back in October of last year.

Anyway, I began lightening the photos. Since they were taken in very poor light, the quality of the photographs is zip. Regardless, there were some strange things with these photos. Here's one:

So what's your take on this transparency of her head?

1. Well my first hit is that the little darlin' has hardly shuffled off her silver cord,
and probably is very spirited and has a very bright angel.

Dunno much about orbs or photography though.

Cool shot cher.

2. I've got to say that that's the creepiest photo that I've ever seen!
She really looks like a ghost to me.

Was this taken with a regular camera setting?

3. Interesting...

There is a blurr - when you look at her arm - at least there is one position of the arm that is not as transparent - there is none for her head...
Never seen anything like it...
Double exposure sometimes creates images on top of each other- but that is for regualar film cameras, when the film does not proceed to the next frame...

4. I wonder if she is having trouble staying in her body.
Or perhaps she moved her head fast and it was double exposed somehow??

5. Perhaps cross post it in the photography group
I've taken some similar pictures, and they were explained to me by someone well versed in it.

11. I would like to hear the explanation as well u4ic. Maybe there is a rational reason
why the child is transparent.

6. Very strange.
The strangest thing, to me, is that you can see the door frame. It might be interesting to try it again.

9. answers to questions, more
Was this taken with a regular camera setting?

Yes, just the setting for everyday pics on a digital camera.

I've taken some similar pictures, and they were explained to me by someone well versed in it.

Wellllllll? So what did they tell you? Did you have a see-thru head? What did they tell you caused that?

I have some really unique orb pictures from Rome...how do I ...upload them for discussion?

Another way is that your ISP quite likely gives you some online space. You just upload the photo to that space. When you do so, it generates a link. Copy and paste the link into the post box here. Then click preview and you should see your photo.

I showed the pic to the little girl's mother yesterday. Here was her response:

My God, that is so weird!
I see what you see, but on one of the last shots I can see that everything in the pic seems to have a double edge. The beard shot is pretty wild. But the transparent head is startling.

This little girl's mother occasionally sees a psychic for readings. This psychic is very, very good. Anyway, she told her that the child may go into the healing arts and in particular, be a vet. The child loves animals--absolutely loves them. She is very tactile with them: always holding them, cuddling on them, etc. The family has two dogs.

She is a very, very bright child and is also quite gifted in artistic areas.

My friend/neighbor says she might e-mail the pic to the psychic to see what her take is on it.

Oh, in reference to the mother's comments about the beard shot, there is one full-face shot where the child appears to have a fu-manchu mustache and the kind of beard a Chinese wise man might have worn in the 1800's. It's the kind that gets quite long and straggly toward the end. Sometimes those beards are divided into three sections at the chin area, where a shaved area about three-quarters of an inch separates the beard.

This child was adopted from China when she was barely a year old.

I didn't want to post this shot, however, for privacy reasons.

Now, an oddity in regard to that type of beard. I mean, how often do you see that kind of a beard? Well, last night my husband and I went out to dinner and as soon as I was seated, I did a doubletake. A guy sitting at a few tables over had such a beard. I got kinda' queasy and the room sort of felt like it was shifting.

10. Wow.
That is interesting - you may have actually captured a glimpse of her previous life.... or someone who is guiding her -
combining the info you post, the transparent picture, (actually my first gut feeling on it) I would go with what I thought the first time I saw it -
maybe she is simultaneously in several different dimensions - not especially because she is still a child, I think she has still very strong connections to other realms or dimensions. I hope she retains such connecions throughout her life and she will be of profound service.

13. Two things are going on here.
1. Camera shake. Look at the the handles and rim of the basket; you can clearly see a doubled image. Same with the scalloped border design of the rug, very clearly from the left edge of the picture to the cat, and to a lesser extent from the cat to the duckie.

2. The child moved. You can see her left arm twice. If you look carefully, you can also see where her head has been, in the crescent shaped "shadow" at the top and back of her head. It looks to me as though she had been facing toward the wall/door, then turned her head toward the cat.

Double images like this happen when movement occurs during exposure, and the image doesn't have time to register fully on the film or sensor.

14. Possible explanation.
When you take pictures in the dark with a regular 35mm camera, the shutter has to stay open for a long time in order to get enough light. So...in that time the little girl most likely moved into the frame. In one of my photography classes years ago we would take pictures in the dark. We'd have a person facing to the left with their hand out for a few minutes, then they would move to the opposite side and stand for a few minutes...all while the shutter was open. The picture would have both images and look like a person shaking hands with themselves.
