Does today (Friday, Feb. 16) seem like a sad day to anyone else?
...or is it just me? I have no reason to feel this way, and I'm wondering if it's something energy-related.

:(

1. Sad?
IHAD: It looks clearly to me that the Sun/Moon/Neptune all opposing Saturn are the culprits. This Neptune opposition to Saturn that has been reigning over 2006 all the way through 8/31/07 is peaking again.

SUN(27) NEP(20) MOON(14)
------------
all opposite

SATURN(21)

It was exact 8/31/06.
It will be again in FOUR DAYS (it's being exascerbated right now by tomorrow's Fool Moon),
and it will be exact again for its final time on 6/25/07.

Saturn kinda "kills" the spiritual sustenance that Neptoon normally feeds us. It's temporary - twill pass.

Hope you feel better soon.

3. Cokes sorta rick
but I've got the Saturn/Neptune opp on the 28th.

Still it's totally hovering and operationally triggered by this lunation for sure, for sure.

5. Yup we responded to Dream almost simultaneously with similar info.
I messed up and had typed May instead of June though and corrected it on edit.

Do we blame Merc retro or get thirty lashes with a wet opposition symbol ?

22. Yes tis Mercury Rx
This crappy Mercury Rx is definitely the cause. And seldom have I seen it act up 7 days BEFORE it even went Rx! But, I don't know if it's just me or not, but I seem to sail pretty well thru Rx times then BOOM about 2 weeks into it - I get whammied. I hope not this time. My car is too old. :hide:

43. Oh for real.
It's been acting up big time, so much so that I had to look at my astro calendar to see if I'd misremembered the date it was supposed to go Rx. The computers at my job have just been ass the last few days (and they aren't wonderful at the best of times). Run time errors, things crashing left and right, slow as all get out when they do work...it's been awful.

Bus broke down the other day as soon as my roomie and I got on it and we had to wait for the next one, so we ended up late for work.

I just want to duck and cover till it's over, myself. :hide:

13. Actually, to all Capricorns...
I'm floating this idea around:

I've been having lots of success "personifying" the planets lately. Not always though. For example, since Saturn is traveling all by itself across the zodiac from the other 8 planets and dwarf Pluto (harumph)... it seems like many of the Capricorns (oops, I almost type Crapicorns!) are alone now.

I have been seeing some very significant cases of the Capricorns that I know are all by themselves now. It's not necessarily a bad thing; it's just that the SEVERANCE that the Pluto/Mars conjunction brought many of us on Jan 12 has led to many Cappys being without their normal "crutches" or support systems.

Anybody else notice this? Perhaps this is happening to Aquarians too since they are also ruled by Saturn. Look around at the Goats that you know and see if this makes sense...Inquiring Goats wanna know. :dilemma:

16. I think that you're the only other Capricorn that I know.
(How can Capricorns be approximately 1/12 of humanity, and this be the case?) Oh, I think that MorningGlow is a Capricorn.

What you're noticing has not been the case for me personally. In the past (over a year ago), it certainly was that way, but since this group is my spiritual support system (OK, maybe also my crutch! :)), I'm definitely not alone now.

I thank the Universe for this group every day!

18. I'm a Capricorn
And I'm sort of alone. I say "sort of" because my daughter and I live together, but I was with my ex for 20 years and now he's gone (so I guess I'm more alone than I've ever been in my life.) Also, my mom's out of town and normally, I talk to her everyday, so I am having maternal withdrawal.

Anyway, I'm not feeling the sadness or darkness everyone else seems to be experiencing. ( to all of you) I guess I'm just so happy to be on my own and in control of my own life. Also, I just finished reading The Secret and watching the Oprah segment and it really spoke to me. So, I've been walking around for a week being thankful and grateful, manifesting perfect parking spots, and not giving any energy away to negative thoughts or feelings.

21. Hi dist...
Nice to hear from you. I have been doing this astrology for a long time and find that I really need to hear from lots of people before I can make up my mind as to whether I'm "on to something" or not (you notice I didn't say "on something, har!).

I'm finding it:
1. intuitively making sense so far and
2. evidence of the Capricorns (and Aquarians) I know.

I'm talking about a fairly recent occurrence too.
Thanks for the feedback, as I need lots of people before I can really tell.
I hope to write more about this in the March issue of my newsletter.
be well...

30. Short term ..
Not a Capricorn myself, but my closest friend is. She has been in Wyoming with her husband and another couple. She doesn't ski and was looking forward to some alone time. The snow wasn't right so the other three only skied three days. She didn't get the solitude she had hoped for. I don't have her moon information.

37. I'd say yes
Hi there,

I'm the Cappie Dream mentioned and yes, I think I'm feeling kind of alone right now. It's been a little more than two weeks since I left my full-time job, and what with the blizzard we had (days of staying in the house with toddler MG Jr.), no longer having my coworker buddies around every day, and not much other contact (DH is preoccupied with his new job 24/7 and my mom is busy working at H&R Block for tax season), I'd say I feel a bit alone. (Although Jr. doesn't all me much actual solitude!)

So...you're right--it's not actually a "bad" thing--just different. And I realized today that you really can't go home again--I went back to my workplace for a farewell reception for a former coworker who's retiring, and while I was happy to see my friends again, I didn't miss the other parts of the job ONE BIT.

70. I'm a CAp and work with lots of them as well.
However, they generally tend to kind of gang up on me, because they think I'm nothing like a normal Capricorn.

Often think I'm a little bit loony. I've been alone there for years.

82. Yeah, I think that I'd be considered "odd" by straightlaced Capricorns.
However, I have Capricorn Sun, Mercury, Jupiter and Saturn, so I've got a lot of Capricorn energy. I also have a lot of water in my chart though. (Scorpio moon and ascendant.) They duke it out all the time. (Rock'em, Sock'em robot style.)

I'm rooting for the water part myself. However, I'm not putting any money on it. :)

2. Were at the dark of the Moon
Edited on Fri Feb-16-07 11:53 AM by stellanoir
The Moon will conjoin Neptune tonight at 8:48 pm EST then it'll oppose Saturn at 10:57 pm.

The Saturn/Neptune opposition a BIGGIE and is collectively making us mindful of the acute disparity between what is possible on the level of ideals and visions juxtaposed our sometimes stark and somewhat needy realities. Hopefully it'll compel us to neutralize that disparity over time. The exact second opposition will occur on Feb 28th so is hovering strongly, and the third an final one will occur in late June. The first exact opposition occurred in late August of last year.

Very simply, there is a sense that "we're not there yet." That reminds me of a friend's kid once asked her "Is it tomorrow yet. . .?"

Though Neptune can be profoundly inspiring, it can also bring with it some disillusionment. The lunar opposition to Saturn is a somewhat oppressive one.

Feel better and chin up.

More later I'm trying to write a stellascope for the New Moon and it's really a chore to be uplifitng right now for me as well.

It'll pass and it's not just you.

For now. . .maybe repeat after me "Ooga, Booga, Smooga, Wooga,"

There did that make you smile. . .? Hope so.

7. I had a bad dream last night
I was at a wonderful (metaphysical fair type) place where people were just looking around and talking about the things they were interested in. I started to go up this beautiful spiral staircase and a lady grabbed my left arm and with an ink pen wrote "you are not a healer and you are not intuitive, you have NO PLACE here", while she was yelling at me...

That messed me up! So I guess the (not so) subtle planetary influences along with my own "issues" are making for a weird and sad day. :(

I've read about it in several sleep and dream books. Sometimes dreams get things backwards, or upside down, etc. In your case, the opposite of what you dreamed is the truth.

Has anyone else ever heard of "dreams of contrary"?

19. Me, too. It was like that yesterday also.
I'm feeling sad and withdrawn. I'm feeling like I'm going to be making big changes and that this is a waiting period. Saturn and Neptune are very big influences in my chart, so the opposition is probably having an effect. I can definitely see how those two energies are manifesting as internal conflict in my life right now.

23. Sorry to hear that...
and it's been my experience that when two planets like Sat. and Nep. are kicking up dust and you have "issues" with them natally, they definitely stir up the natal "promise" too.

Cure-all for Saturn: be realistic
Cure-all for Neptune: have faith

sounds reasonable

24. yes, indeed, those are good things to remember!
It's not really that bad, I think I'm just out of practice in the existential angst area. :) I think I've been on cruise control and this is shaking me out of it. My practical Cap sun and my save-the-world Pisces moon have always been at odds, but it's made for an interesting life, since there's plenty of Uranian, Plutonian and Neptunian energy in my chart. At times I've been aware of letting the practical side win out, and I think my Pisces is ready to awaken and take charge. We shall see!

31. Honestly, it doesn't get my vote for "day of the year", either!
Because....

Just as I was leaving work, looking forward to the weekend, and was already in the parking lot, the executive vice president and the office manager of my company came outside and told me that I'm going to start picking up some of the workload for the exec. vice's 22 year old son, and his dad actually said, "Somebody has to do the work, and I guess it's not going to be him". They gave me a nice raise Wednesday, and it wasn't even time for my annual raise, yet. I guess they were softening me up for the good news.

And we're having a big snow storm that was not in the forecast (on top all the snow and ice that's been laying there for weeks, now).

And Saracat had to put her kitty to sleep.

And I wish the resolution was binding, instead of not binding.

So, even if a person keeps her head down and her mouth shut until Mercury goes direct again, it's still a test of the powers of the Secret. But things always turn out for the best, even if we can't see it at the time. And I'm grateful for all the good things.

But today it seemed like there was a demonic little mutant energy current sneaking around corners, zapping you when you least expected it.

A couple of unexpected really nice things. A slew of small minor irritants. A sense of impending doom from time to time. I cut the tip of my left ring finger right before I left work, and it hasn't stopped bleeding yet. I have to keep telling myself that everything is exactly as it should be. For once on a Friday night I have fun plans. Things will smooth out, I'm sure.

For IHAD .. hope you are gaining something for going through the sadness.

I realized how rarely I have days like this, and this realization made me appreciate that fact. I really do feel blessed by the Universe through grace. I feel such gratitude for the good things in my life, and also because the sadness basically was just with me this morning. As I was experiencing it, I thought of the people who feel that way all the time for whatever reason. May the Universe bless them and help them in their time of need and allow me to help them when I am able to do so.

Thank you for your wise words, votes.

It'll improve vastly by the months end if we make it so with our hearts and our minds is all.

45. Yes, it definitely makes sense. That's the way I was feeling this morning.

Good luck with your situation. I was just reading your thread, and it sounds as though you've come to a good decision.

48. I feel like all of my manifesting energy is being seriously opposed
right now. I am really learning how to practice patience with the universe, and know that I will harvest what I have planted.

50. KitchenWitch, have you had your astrological chart examined? It might give...
you a better feel for what might be happening for you right now or what might be coming up.

My husband loves telling me that things are "an opportunity to practice patience". At first, I would glare at him when he said this to me. Now I'm beginning to understand it more.

Good luck on your manifestations, KW, and I hope that your bounty will be sweeter for having been on the vine longer.

51. I have not had my chart done in a long time
I do not know a whole lot about astrology, a friend did my chart about 20 years ago.

I do know that I am sun sign Aries, moon sign Aquarius with Pisces ascendant.

55. I wish that I were able to read it for you. Someday I will, but I'm a complete...
novice at this point. (I don't even know enough yet to be dangerous.) I really think that it would help to know what's going on for yourself energetically.

53. I was fine on Friday, but I got hit by it this morning
Hey Dream! :hi:

I read your thread yesterday and couldn't relate--everything was fine--I even went back to my terrible ex-workplace for a farewell reception for a retiring coworker (and bravely faced my ex-VP trying to cheerfully make small talk with me! :puke: ) I was very proud that I enjoyed myself and had no problems...and then I woke up this morning and started crying for no reason. Granted, I don't feel well (sniffles--nothing major), and I suspect there might be a touch of cabin fever in the mix, but it just didn't make much sense. So I put it down to the energy. I too will be happy to wave bye-bye to this Merc Ret!

54. I hope that you feel better soon, MG. Before stella & Rick told me what...
was going on astrologically, I was really upset by the feelings. After they explained it, I was able to move through it, so the afternoon wasn't nearly as bad. However, I still felt completely unable to concentrate. I hope that you're able to move through it quickly as well.

For some reason, I think that we Capricorns are being hit hard with this. I think that ThruTheLookingGlass (who I didn't know is also a Capricorn) was feeling the effects as well.

 to my fellow Capricorns!

57. Maybe time to hop in the bathtub MG. . .splash !!!
I think I already posted the recipe for you but here it is again. . .2 parts epsom salt to 1 part baking soda plus whatever oils or bath gels you prefer (my fave is lavender.)

Ritual full immersion is especially efficacious during New & Full Moons. The New Moon is exact at 11:14 am EST but anytime within about 24 hours of the event is more powerful gnereally than other Lunar phases.

It would be especially good since you went back to your workplace yesterday during the dark of the Moon. You're probably just having fallout from that is all.

"Splish Splash. . . " & feel better soon.

62. LOL I don't have a drain plug!

Part of the ongoing renovations to Chateau le Money Pit--I refinished the tub, so taking a shower is not completely repulsive, but there ain't no "bath-ing" going on till I can find a plug big enough for the extra-large old-fashioned drain. I might claim some time for a longer-than-usual hot shower, though, especially to help drain my stuffy nose (being ill doesn't help).

Fallout from yesterday is entirely possible. My main reaction was relief that I was no longer a part of the day-to-day bullshit of that place, and I was happy to see my friends, but I'm sure there was residual ick from just being there. After the reception (which was in one of our more stately rooms in the library), my photographer friend tried to get me to go back to the office for some coffee. I flatly refused--I just couldn't bear the thought of walking back into the place where I suffered for four years.

Looking forward to the turn of the new moon in a bit--every little bit helps!

67. duct tape the drain LOL kidding
You must have something around the house you can use as a temporary plug. . .like a tupperware lid or something. I'm looking at the lid to a large jar of peanut butter as I type. You just couldn't kick around that much.

I think hardware stores still carry those flat rubber disks for strangely sized drains and they are dirt cheap.

I know people who are sans bathtubs who put that mix in spray bottles and squirt themselves and their auric field whilst in the shower.

So it's squirt, squirt instead of splish, splash for them and possibly you for now.

68. Tempting!
We certainly do have a lot of duct tape around! :)

Spray bottle is a distinct possibility. All I need to find is one of those cork-shaped stoppers--just need some friggin' TIME to go to a hardware store! (And we're going to need one sooner than we think--"bright eyes" is too darned big for his plastic tub now!

56. I felt it both Thursday and Friday
It lifted a bit last night. On Thursday and Friday, I cried and can't put my finger on why. I also went shopping at Home Depot on Thursday and felt a great sadness there. I thought it may have been the store and that something bad had happened (like a layoff, firing, hours cut). Maybe I was picking up on something that was more generalized. Today feels better.

58. Yep, cried all the way home from work
My twisted boss really pulled a number on me and I was totally frustrated. He deleted all my homeowner quotes deliberately so I would have to start over from scratch. When I asked him if he had received a computer error that caused it, he told me he deleted them. He laughed in my face and said I would just have to do them over again. I don't know what type of mental illness he has, but he does this stuff as "punishment".

Possibly because on Valentine's Day, he took the other women in the office out for a two hour lunch, and nobody had said anything to me. I came out of my office to find the place empty. When I asked the other agent where everyone was, he told me. At first I was hurt, but then I felt relieved I would not have the displeasure of my his company for two hours. I made a few phone calls inquiring about other jobs and general made good use of the privacy I was afforded. ;-)

I suspect he was mad that I did not react like he expected, so he had to do something more to hurt me.

My stomach is tied up in knots, but I know it is just a matter of time before I find another job. I just have to keep my mouth shut and take it for now.

Afterall, this is only temporary....I don't have to work for this clown forever.

I'm sending lots of energy to you to help you through this, and I ask the Universe to put you in a work situation where you are respected, treated well, paid well, where you have great coworkers, and where you're doing something that feeds your soul. (This or something better for the highest good of all involved.)

73. There was a thread on DU just today which I replied....
I would love to be living in England, exploring ancient sites with my little brush in hand as I knelt down to uncover yet another artifact to document. The most recent discovery of a village at Stonehenge is where I would want to be NOW.
For that matter, I would love to be part of a dig just about anywhere for anything. Not for my own "collection", but for science, museums and such.
Orgasmic I tells ya, purely orgasmic!

...I took a wrong turn somewhere...

80. LOL me too! me too!
When I was in college, I almost switched majors from English to archaeology, but I couldn't get into analyzing pot sherds and different types of fossilized grains and post holes for the rest of my life. And I realized that the history that archaeology teaches didn't resonate with me. Don't even get me started on the nonsense they preach, that everything every culture that's even a hiccup older than ours did was based on an obsession with fertility. Bullshit, sez I!

Snarf--I think I was drawn to archaeology because of feelings for past lives, but the "reality" of the subject just didn't match up. Too bad, really. It seems like an ideal way to reconnect with the older cultures we feel connected to, but...not so much. At least for me. YMMV.

74. Yes it did
While I did make through Friday, YES it was very sad for me. Not only for me but for another co-worker of mine. See, MG came to a retirement party on Friday. While, I was sooooooo excited to see her, My Irish friend and I were very sad when she left the party. Knowing that this was just a special day for not only the lady who retired, but to see MG, we were extremely saddened when she left. We went back to the office, and the Irish friend and I talked about it for a little while. it's just not the same anymore without her there.
I just read her post saying she was sad too. Not for the reasons I mentioned above, but because she's lonely. This saddens me so much. I knew this would happen to her, and yet it makes me so sad for her.
I know that that was the best decision she made for her and for JR, but just seeing her, made us realize how we miss her.

Call me when you have a minute. I'll be home Monday after 9:30 a.m. And tell our Irish friend to keep his chin up--and you too, for that matter!

I am better now, physically and emotionally. I know it's just the hassle of making the transition. I knew it was coming, so I'm not at all surprised. And I can deal with it! Pretty sick of Handy Manny already, though...so much toddler TV is massively insipid... :D
