2. It's occuring at
12 degrees 48 minutes of the Cancer/Capricorn polarity at 8:57 am EST.

This axis always polarizes issues of home and work and can bring up parental and familial issues for resolution or release. Just remember matricide or patricide rarely solves anything, and hide the axes. :) /sarcasm. . .Really it's not that bad.

It can also compel us to goop up our work stations with bagel crumbs and spilled coffee, or launder important paper work.

Cancer is all about nurture. Capricorn is all about the conventional structures within we live or try to.

I can't think of Capricorn without thinking about the generation just now graduating from high school with Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune all in Cap and what sort of massive restructuring of governmental, corporate, and banking of which they will more than likely be the agents or live to experience.

We unquestionably warrant the wicked overhaul in all those areas. These kids will be really interesting to watch. That's not to say that we won't see change prior to them being in power though.

Aside from the work/home balancing act, this is a cardinal full moon. It's generally the fixed ones that get the attention of cops and tend to make us all start howling.

There are not a lot of rough aspects to it at all, though I wonder about the 110th congress being signed in under a waning moon on Thursday.

http://michaellutin.com has some info about this lunation. Click on the "Daily Fix."

I'll meditate on it and see if I come up with anything else.

This was just off the top of my head.

3. Hee. My mom's a Cancer sun and my sis and maternal grandma are Cappys.
Things may get very interesting for my family in the next couple of months. Thanks for your warning about the potential laundering of our paperwork, stella. I'm really trying to avoid doing anything like that, as this has been the theme for this fall for me (lost wallet, two unprecedented losses of ATM cards, blech; it sucked).

your lost wallet? Any idea what happened to it?

I wouldn't mind laundering some of my paper work. Then I wouldn't have to shred so much!

7. This is exactly why we need astrologers....
Because I have no clue what you just said! Not that you weren't clear. As an astrologer :D

I did not know there could be polar moons. I have a couple of great books about full moons, meanings, etc.

Anyway .. I have recently reunited with my mother. I surrendered, then she surrendered. Stop the fighting. It is a major blessing.

My work station is always gooped up. I call it customizing.

I'll look at the link. Questions about the 110th congress? oh dear.
What are we to learn from this?

12. LOL
It's not a polar moon. Full Moons always occur on the axis of opposing signs (aka polarities.)

Good news about mum. Great time for that sort of resolution.

In terms of Congress, the waning moon sorta suggests that it's clean up time and is hardly a fresh start.

I'll wait to comment further until they actually get sworn in and we have an exact birth time.

... 'cause I've been PMS-ing for the last 2 days.

Finally, after 25 years, now that I'm closing in on menopause, do I get my cycles synched up with the Moon.

WTF?

menopause does sync you up with the moon more than ever. At least I'm more lunar.

Wouldn't it have been great to live in the days when the women got to go to the Temple and sit it out? Raise magick?

6. Issues from '89 & '90 may rear their heads
Edited on Tue Jan-02-07 07:12 PM by stellanoir
that's when Saturn, Neptune, & Uraus clustered around that degree of Cap with Jupiter opposing in Cancer.

Also issues in relationship you may have tried to straighten out last winter in December through February may warrant a modicum of tweaking.

Hold on. . .I'll see if I can fetch the Sabian Symbols for those degrees without typing them out.

on edit-screw it I'll type them out. . .

These are images to contemplate for this full moon. . .

"12 Cancer- A Chinese woman nursing a baby with a message. This is a symbol of the wide reamification in experience by which man achieves his greater opportunities, emphasized on the wholly personal side as he is able to include the far-flung capabilities of the race itself in his own individual complex of talents and skills. Life gains significance to the extent that each person embraces the totality of his kind in his own make-up, or seeks to embody universal values in his everyday consciousness. The keyword is MATERIALIZATION. When positive, the degree is a gift for bringing the more Godlike resources or superior powers of self to a point of real community service, and when negative, completely unreasonable demands for recognition.

12 Capricorn- A student of nature lecturing. This is a symbol of the wide ramification in experience by which man achieves his greater opportunities, emphasized on the vicarious or intellectual side as he participates in events and shares meanings through the mind's eye alone. Here is direct fulfillment in consciousness. Life gains its illimitability as the individual discovers that he can master its endless facets through ever-expanding facilities of the reason. The keyword is EXPLANATION. When positive, the degree is self-confidence through the acquisition of knowledge and effective self-direction through the practical application of all values, and when negative, psychological smugness and an unreasonable pride of intellect."

Since the lunation is occuring so late in that degree I'll post the imagery for the 13th degree after supper.

Uhhhh. . .*'s sun is on this polarity.

Especially because of the fact that it's triggering memories of former worldly and transpersonal planetary influence.

Though it's not a reoccurance of those exact or precise energies. Just an opportunity to integrate and revisit what transpired then.

28. Yeah I was incredibly mindful of all of that when I foolishly watched
the ghoulish funeral today.

Felt as though we entered the twilight zone when Kissinger, of all people, started to praise Ford's defense of human rights in front of * co's warmongers and torturers. That was just too bizarre.

And of these sadistic war profiteers masquerading as followers of the biggest pacifist and extreme victim of corporal punishment just after the warped Hussein thingy was just far beyond the pale.

Yikes.

Full Moon in Cancer
Wednesday, January 3, 2007
5:57am PST
12° 48'

Happy New Year! Let's start it off right with a full-hearted celebration of love, compassion, forgiveness, and emotional connectedness. This is the Full Moon to swim in the unbounded ocean of love that connects us with the rhythm of life and all other sentient beings. With Moon in Cancer pulsating the energy of caring, compassion, and nurturance, trining Uranus in Pisces awakening into this unbounded ocean of love can be yours if you are willing to let go and dive in wholeheartedly!

This is that once a year when the Full Moon is posited in the astrological sign it rules, making the force of love and trust so abundant, that we must open our hearts; even with Mercury (mind) and Sun (ego) in the hard-reality sign of Capricorn . So those of you who have lost faith in love, though you may not believe it, you too are surrounded by love. Love is everywhere, in every particle, in every wave. It is the glue that binds us to our planet and all existent life upon it.

Cancer rules emotional healing of all kinds and this is the Full Moon to make an effort to bring love back to all your relationships; especially between family members. The Moon in Cancer is the focal planet of a Yod with Chiron (wounding) in Aquarius (emotional distancing) and Jupiter (generosity) in Sagittarius (belief in basic goodness.) Yods are constricting until one is ready to face the frustrated, held back energy inherent in the planetary relationships and transform suffering into liberation. In this case: liberating the heart through forgiveness and compassion.

Nice interpretation. I minimized the significance of the Yod (which I shouldn't have done) because after all the intense lunations we experienced last year this one is like a day at the beach.

Thanks rumpel. :hi:

I am going through some other bookmarked links...

http://www.mooncircles.com/fullmoon_julia.html

At this Full Moon use this moment to sight your highest goal, commit to your goal, and begin the journey in a new way. Let your way be guided by the shedding of your disguises, the recognition of your evolving soul’s power to achieve your desired goal, and the dynamic action to climb farther than you have ever climbed.

I've been using Quicksilver Publishing Calenders for decades.

Then I cast a chart for the lunations. They've only messed up a couple times in all that time.

You can always PM me for verification or if you don't watch it, I may have to gift you with a Celestial Guide or Astrologer's datebook. Using those aids is a great "hands on" way to learn and familiarize oneself with the symbols and get an experiential feeling for the lunar cycle and the aspects.

Let me know which you would prefer.

30. here are the corollary images
"13 Cancer- One Hand slightly flexed with a very prominent thumb. Ths is a symbol of that belief in his inherent supremacy over all other orders of nhature by which man is characterized most fundamentally, dramatized by his quite normal confidence in his ability to deal with every eventuality of day-by-day activity and relationship. Any individual must rule his environment or surrender his own potentialities forever. Here is practicality brought to the point of ruthlessness. The keyword is DETERMINATION. When positive, the degree is exceptional steadiness and a high sense of self-responsibility in every issue of the moment, and
when negative, unnecessary aggressiveness and a self defeating shortsightedness.

13 Capricorn- A fire worshiper. This is a symbol of man's inner strength through his realization of an inviolable tie with the creative power of the universe itself, dramatized by his continual outreach to the divine in a spiritualizing of his aspirations and a dedication of his talents and possessions to the over-all reality. He knows he must demonstrate his ultimate in independence of his circumstances or else surrender his own potentialities forever. Here is ideality brought to the point of miracle. The keyword here is MAGIC. When positive, the degree is for the exaltation of self and the consummation of its ambitions, and when negative, consistent overestimation of personal capacity."

asking about this very thing (he's not so into all this as I am); and commenting on the HUGE early evening moon out. He's been pissy most of the day; and kept saying he didn't know why. Poor thing. He's so much more sensitive than I am sometimes. He even had my PMS for me last month.
