1. What a great website.

I thought the bold(ed) parts in the 2nd and 3rd paragraphs were neat. The discussion of the energy of the group was thought provoking at least to me.

In true-to-Aquarian form Chiron here has shown us a new kind of equality: It doesn’t matter how enlightened you are if you are not capable of garden-variety self-honesty, humility, and basic human decency. “Kindness and real humility are the new status.”

It all has to do with what we are willing to make conscious within ourselves. The same goes for groups – anything having to do with spiritual attainment or any other kind of power is likely to have a much larger than usual shadow. Are we capable of self-honesty as a friend or partner, as a spiritual group member or leader (or any kind of group for that matter), are we capable of seeing and speaking the truth when it requires unmasking one’s own and the group’s destructive defenses? And most importantly, how much compassion and humility can we muster for these tasks? Staying silent is not always the most humble course of action, although it may be. Working on in the darkness is often what is required.

Read your Sun, Moon and rising signs to see what these areas are, and to see how all of this is developing in the arena of how we meet each other in relationship. This is shown by the Fall Equinox – the Sun entering relationship-oriented Libra -- the day of the Eclipse, plus powerful contacts of Jupiter in Scorpio with fantasy producing and exposing Neptune, as the desire of Jupiter edges closer to reality demanding Saturn. The eclipse provides clues as to what we have falsely nurtured, as do the powerful healing-wounding energies of Chiron going direct on October 12. Finally, whatever remains to be deflated if we are still giving it unnecessary attention gets a final pinprick in late October as Jupiter and Saturn square off again, forcing mistaken needs to meet the soul’s integrity, the essence of what is true for your destiny, limitations, and what the world truly needs from you, as opposed to what you think it needs.

6. I hope they get a handle on it soon

For about 2 days the smoke was blowing directly by us - that eerie orange sunlight...

Mom and I were wondering, but I am glad you did not have to evacuate.

7. They talked about evacuating Ojai, but it never seemed

likely. More like they were going the extra distance to prevent any Katrina-like mishaps.

I hear it's 40 percent contained now.

The light was eerie...like some apocalypse. And ashes everywhere, thick. Couldn't go outside or even have the windows open.
