This may be an odd question - (re: eyes)
This may be an odd question - but is anyone aware of any meaning behind strange patterns in a person's eyes?

I've wondered about this for a long time - as in my left iris there is a PERFECT darker triangle under my pupil. Above the pupil there is also an interesting golden-copper-brown miscoloration.

It's always seemed to me that there is some reason I have this - but I am clueless as to what it could be.

I have a couple of pictures that it can kind of be seen in - if anyone's interested.

Any ideas?

1. Curious. And way beyond my knowledge of physiognomy, but
there might be something there. Couldn't tell you what it is, though, sorry.

2. Would this be covered under Iridology?
I had a book on it at one time, but haven't seen it in awhile.
You can probably find something on it online.

4. HEY you too!
I have a near perfect star (right) in one eye around the pupil.. and a sun pattern in the other.

I haven't met anyone else who has a pattern period!..

And we both like the Dali Lama

I have no idea what it means other then it's odd to have people stare at your eyes looking for the pattern isn't it? Or when they just notice it on their own, they just blurt it out.

6. Well, at least I'm not the only freak!
LOL

yeah, it is weird. I don't know what the circumstances were that initially brought it to my attention - but I've always wondered....

Here's a picture - it wasn't taken with the intent of showing off my anomaly - but you can see the triangle mark, and a touch of the copper-ish coloration.

10. Good morning everybody!
:hi:

Madrone, your eyes are very beautiful! I have been fascinated by the the marks on the iris and the study of these marks to diagnose/track medical conditions. Years ago, I went to a naturopath who used iridology as a diagnostic tool on a regular basis. And, I know that iridology has been used in Russia for many years.

I was shocked to see that a large black dot that I have adjacent to my right pupil corresponds with 'problems below the duodenum'. I have had this mark all my life. And, when I was born I did in fact have an obstruction below the duodenum.

My naturopath used a the most basis technique to observe changes in the iris- a bright light and a magnifying glass. In general, if you look in the mirror using this method, you will see a variety of marks ranging from deep black to bright white. You will notice some of the whitened areas appear to have a depth to them with striations. An area that 'becomes' dark is a concern. As healing occurs you will see whitening come about. More sophisticated iridology involves the use of opthalmic equipment.

When I was diagnosed with cancer years ago, my naturopath was able to show me the presence of the cancer (lots of black marks) and eventually the lack there of, as I got well. It was pretty neat!
It was most fascinating to see the changes in my liver. The corresponding area on my left iris (at eight o'clock) went from being a large black hole, gradually filling in with white, and then to my normal color of brown.

Of course, iridology is much easier in people with light colored eyes. I have seen marks similar to those you have at six o'clock in many people. I'll send you some info in your PM.

11. Here's one of my freaky eyes

I guess the lighting sort of disrupts the star pattern there but it's the white outline around the pupil.. the other eye is a sunburst

Like you it was in 2nd grade that someone pointed it out to me
